Corvettes are just lousy thus far. The #50 Larbre Competition 'Vette is -4 laps down and dead last in the Am class. While the #64 is 6th in the Pro class. While the #53 Viper is leading the Am class right now.

Yeah, I'm dissapointed. I wonder if corvette racing is on the way out?

They need to step it up for next year, because the fords may be a real threat.

I hope not. I hope all American makes return next year. I'd like to see Corvette and Dodge expand factory support in both GTE classes.

24 hours straight of staying awake is a bit more than I'm willing to give. I like to watch during sunset and day break. Night racing I find to be rather dull and hard to see much on TV.

Apparently the Viper is off sequence and that's why they are in the lead at the moment. Only one car has retired the #92 Porsche in the GTE Pro class.

The #88 Porsche (GTE-AM) has retired, joining the Porsche #92 (GTE-PRO) as the only two cars out right now.

****ing fox sports go won't work on my iPad or iPhone. I am so pissed.

You didn't miss much, over the last hour it was the video from the FS1 broadcast which was 2 minutes of racing then 5 minutes of commercials. Fox really messed this whole broadcast up from the beginning, I misssed the first 3 and a half hours because I don't have Fox Sports 2. They should have let everyone watch the stream from the start of the race.

At halfway it looks like it might be Porsche's race to lose. I'm rooting for Audi, but I think unless the Porsche has trouble its going to be hard for Audi to beat them. The GTE Pro race is absolutely fantastic only 5 seconds between the #64 Corvette and the #99 Aston Martin.

The PRO battle has been the best IMO thus far. I'm keeping WEC's live scoring on the AM battle though. Part of me hopes the Dempsey-Proton team can score a podium.

Took a 4.5 hour power nap from 1:30am to 6am. Just now the #51 Ferrari in the PRO battle has problems and has pretty much handed that class victory to Corvette Racing. We have an 1 hour & 41 minutes to go.

7 Americans earned podium finishes in this 83rd Running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Edit: I also didn't realize it but Scuderia Corsa is an American team so add that to the list as well

Go corvette racing!

Hope they do well. I mainly follow the GT battles to be honest and with Audi leaving the P1 class there honestly isn't that much to watch for. Though it does look like the P2s are going to provide an excellent show.

First qualifying session results

I'm a little surprised how close the P1 cars are, after the first 2 rounds I thought the Toyotas would have a bigger
gap on the Porsches.

The recent bop change is definitely hurting them a little. I think the biggest factor was that the air temperature was about 15 degrees warmer than it was during the test day, and the were struggling a little with the European-spec tires in the hotter conditions.
