Quick news on Kingsley. We were his first offer. Could have a big impact.

For those who don't follow bb recruiting can you give us some info. How many guys do you think we take in the 2013 class? Who do we have a legit chance of landing?

Right now, Martin is absolutely doing what he can to get into Memphis. We are in the top five for three big recruits.

We lose Maymon, Hall, Miller, and McBee. So four. There's also a pretty decent chance Stokes will leave after next season. So right now I'd say five.

If i had to put a guess, I say we get (along with current commit Travon Landry) Nick King, Austin Nichols, and Moses Kingsley. I also think we will get a wing, hopefully Robert Hubbs or Sindarius Thornwell of that nature.

We are looking really good.

Also, quick thing. I'm in no means an insider. Just like to post recruiting info. This is all my opinion.

Not a scorer. Does everything else really well. Also, has only played two years of basketball. You never know how many camps he has been too, what kind of level of AAU he plays, it all depends. Also plays for a pretty decent high school team, so he gets overlooked I believe.

He had offers from Vanderbilt, Alabama, and Georgetown was heavily recruiting him.

Maybe he'll get more hype over the summer after the aau season.

That would be an amazing class.

Thornwell is unlikely and I think he goes to Clemson. It sucks because with a coulple of lbs, this kid reminds me of a JuJuan Smith 2.0. He's going to be tough to take out of state. uscJr and Clemson has already offered and I think he's took 2 or 3 visits to Clemson already. I'd love to have him.

King = the player I want the most!!! He is so talented. I'm wondering what the talent pool is looking like in Memphis after next season? This would be the grand slam of swings for CCM if he lands King. Way different then Stokes IMO. If we get King, we'll have to battle Memphis, Arkansas, GTown and I imagine UK and UNC will offer as well. He played on the same AAU team as Stokes so I'm only hoping that Stokes gets in his ear.

Same reason Aaron Craft got little hype prior to being offered by tOSU. He's not flashy. Blue collar player who does the dirty work. Give him a solid summer in AAU, and he will get some pub. It may be under the radar pub, but fear not, Landry is solid.

I guess Stokes can't come because we can't have any top players coming here.The liar and cheat may have been a good recruiter but coundn't coach a half court game if his life depended on it and loved to play the weakest player in SEC way to much that being SP

so we have a guaranteed 4 scholarships to give, most likely will be atleast 5 or 6. we have landry coming in so far in this class, ZJC care to make a prediction and tell us who you think we realistically bring in?

I caught the tail end of one of the local radio hosts saying, "..so keep an eye out for Austin Nichols out of Memphis." Y'all know what he was referring to? I just heard it this evening too, wasn't sure if some news had broke regarding his recruitment or what.

Right now, if I had to venture:

PG Travon Landry
SG Sindarius Thornwell
SF Markel Crawford
PF Austin Nichols

And a center. Not sure if that will be Edwards, Kingsley...maybe Dominic Woodson?

I'm still waiting on this kid Stokes to pan out for us. What with this terrible team we feilded this year, I'd be suprised anyone would want to play here.

If I had to guess right now...

Landry
Thornwell
Johnson/Crawford
Nichols

Maybe

Edwards/Kingsley/Ringer

Depending on stokes, Nolan and Mitchell futures we may or may not bring in a center. If we don't I think we add Crawford, of we add a center then Johnson or Crawford would be the person id leave out.

Crawford's a monster. I hope we pull him and Nichols. I haven't been keeping up with basketball recruiting too much, though.
