Uv cavs with a major 5th inning hitting the ball all in the right spots.
Still no game 3 since the cws moved to the td ameritrade park.

I want a championship in the future.

Don't be shocked if it happens near the end of the decade as in 2017-2019.

2015 or 2016 they're back in the College World Series.
Yep I'm that optimistic.

The vols a team on the rise, not that far from greatness that they once were.

You do realize that Corbin's accomplishments at Vanderbilt are pretty darn good from where that program was when he started 12 years ago.

I would take the next 12 years of UT baseball looking like this:

3 SEC Titles and 1 SEC-T Title
2 CWS appearances (including playing for a title)
6 Super Regionals
10 NCAA-T appearances

He's a great skipper or manager no doubt about that but won't be talked about being elite if freakin vandy doesn't win freakin championships.
It's like Dan Marino passing for topnotch records, plus producing other great records but it's bittersweet as he never lead the dolphins to a Super Bowl.
So is Corbin another Dan Marino if vandy doesn't win a championship as the vandy manager yep.

Uv cavs survive beating vandy in a major win 7-2.
Tonight Virginia hit the ball in all the right places, and continue to add to their lead coming back.

So we won't be denied a game three.
First time game three at td ameritrade park.

I won't be. We need to keep Serrano. I know it'll take awhile to rebuild our dumpster.

I told my brother this afternoon that Vanderbilt this season has gone braindead in the field and the basepaths on occasion and had a hunch they'd do that tonight.

I look like Nostredamus right now.

In prior years, they were more fundamentally sound palying their positions and stuff and did nto make it this far.

Sometimes the stars need to align.

UVA should have been hosting the trophy tonight save for one very poor inning. I think they take it on Wednesday. Vandy's starting pitching was on fumes already for whatever reason and now their bullpen is tired. They've not really had a quality start yet.

I think the good fortune runs out. I hate that the ACC gets to win a title bu would also hate to see Vandy win one as well.

Even if they loose, considering their season and a weak showing in Hoover, this has still been an impressive run by Vandy, even with a loss on Wednesday. To go from a middle of the pack team, to outlasting every other SEC team in post season play and ending up in the Finals series in Omaha, even with a loss in the end, is still an impressive showing by any team.

Ironically, considering that compared to the last three years they really didn't make a deep run at Hoover, when all is said and done, I'd say a lot of people are going to look back and wonder if by not going far in the SEC tournament, if that kept them from running their players out of gas long enough to make the deep run through to Omaha that they've make this year.

I've been trying to root against Vandy all week, in crunch time I keep rooting for them, can't explain it. :loco:

Vols resume looks impressive that they won a series vs a cws champs vandy team. :)
Or they're so use to misery in sports that you want to see a team that makes me think of Charlie Brown finally win a championship.
Possible it's both.
