2014 Defensive Line

I thought O'Brien played pretty well last year as a redshirt freshman. I think he can really flourish in his third year. Saulsberry, if healthy, should be good and I think that Owen Williams and Mixon can provide ok depth. Another thing that shouldn't be discounted is that for the first time in four years the defensive line coach is the same. Couple that with the same returning scheme and we should see improvement imo.

Saulsberry getting healthy is the big if. O'Brien should be stronger than he has ever been, now a 3rd yr man. O. Williams is said to be possibly the strongest man on team, and explosive. Jordan Williams lined up as tackle is bigger than Wes Brown and probably Turk McBride. Lot's of unknowns -- but unknown is not same as known to be bad.

Our DT situation has been bad since 2006 when we had a one-armed Justin Harrell and JT Mapu, yet still couldn't stop 4th and Tebow throughout the game.

Its got to start getting better soon, we are starting to get the horses but aren't there yet. We have more depth now, but its inexperienced and the quality isn't proven. That's a start at least...
