He didn't say. We was in Hooters talking about basketball recruiting and I brought up Kevon Looney and he said that he was on a Duke board talking about Looney and a lot of the other members felt like we was still the team to beat for his services. They feel like Duke's depth will point Looney into a different direction. I don't know if he was lying to me or not but he's been a Duke fan his whole life so I think he's telling the truth.

Been combing the Duke message boards. Their is not alot of confidence as their once was about Looney a lock for Duke. Found this little excerpt from a duke message board. Not much in it but they dont sound as confident as they once did



Looney is announcing on Halloween. This could be another fun case of "watch the 247 prediction game"

On the Kevon Looney prediction page, there are currently 27 gurus who have registered a prediction. The most recent prediction was made just a week ago.

100% of the predictions pick Duke as Looney's destination.



UCLA got the coveted "last visit" but most folks don't consider them to be all that much of a factor here. The consensus seems to be Duke or Tennessee. Looney has a family connection to Tennessee and supposedly really connected with Cuonzo Martin. I am a bit surprised that none of the predictions have him headed to the Vols.

Anyway, we'll watch the prediction market to see if things chance as decision date draws near. 1 week to go on this one, folks.

Been doing the same, one thing is clear, they don't feel he's a lock by any means. Some think he ends up there but aren't confident, others think he's leaning here.

Kudos to him, keeping it this quiet isn't easy to do nowadays.

Been a tough one to handicap. Lots of people saying Duke but they've not been overly active (it seems) since his visit and they seem to be putting a lot in Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones, Justise Winslow, Reid Travis. Keep hearing lots of Tennessee talk and I've kind of been leaning there for a while. Unless something new comes up, still would give a slight UT edge. Has been some Florida talk lately but seems like they are more in with Devin Robinson.

Robinson, Looney for sure on Wednesday and Thursday and talk that D. Booker, J. Blackmon and T. Lyles could all decide by week's end as well. It's nut cuttin time.

Part of me thinks that he's our. Just a lot of factors that seems like it would be hard to turn away but I want to temper those thoughts because I know how great it would be to play for Coach K. Also a very storied program also the chance to play with a dominate Center in Okafor. A heady PG's in Jones and Cook. And possibly Winslow. I think he could flourish here and do bigger things than what Tobias did in his lone season. Fingers crossed for the best.

Point on SJ. Coming here he would be the MAN. At Duke he would be a star among the stars. But you couldn't blame him for going there. If it boils down to relationship with coaches I like our chances.

Looney Updates I have not seen it posted here yet, but according to 247sports, Kevon Looney received a visit from Nate James last Wednesday. His announcement will be at 11 am on Thursday, which I assume means 11 am Central Time

Come be a face of the program and be "the guy" and play with baby Wade or go to a stacked Duke team where you aren't the guy, but you're pretty much locked up for a championship...depends on what Mr Looney wants. Volnation will love him more than any other school and he can become a legend here and put his name right beside the GOAT Bernard King!! Thursday!!!! GBO!!! I'm pumped!!!

I meant nothing by my post except that Reid would be a real nice addition to our program and that I like his skills.

That said, yes, think Kevon is Tennessee bound. I'm real split on Justise, he really seems to feel the Blue devils, but we'll see, Zona will be tough to beat for him.

Of course your familiar with my Jones, Okafor picks.

Just curious but where do you feel those these recruits will head
