"Looney would just be icing on the cake...if we miss, no one expected us to get him anyway...still think Tenn followed by Duke....why anyone would go play at Tenn in Cuonzo's O killing system is beyond me though....especially a top 10 kid but family has deep ties to Knoxville"

Side note: that boring offense is 3-0 against the Gators

Not only is it 3-0 vs the Gators, it ranked 7th in the conference last season. Or, all of two spots behind the the #5 offensive juggernaut that is Florida basketball.

So, now those don't count because they aren't from a major conference, and I only gave four examples?Laughable. Like Stoked4Zo said, its Looney day.

Edit: You definitively said, "I don't think u can be a consistent top 25 coach without top 25 recruiting." I gave four examples to the contrary. Point being, don't speak in absolutes just to strengthen your point.

I believe we are all experiencing the lunacy with our off-the-wall anticipation of Kevon Looney's announcement. As many of you all know, I'm usually the last person to be optimistic when it comes to recruiting, but I'm actually feeling pretty confident Cuonzo picks up his biggest recruiting prize yet come noon! I wish I could get every one of you a drink today when I celebrate the good news at Happy Hour. Go Vols!!

Sounds like Jabri Parker and UF. Msg board and twitter talk nite before announcement and morning of...only for him to "shock the world" by picking Duke.

Like I said earlier when I woke up (for about the 5th time) this is the most optimistic I've ever felt in his recruitment.

That doesn't mean I'm confident we get him, but it's the best I've felt.

The Prediction
Brian Snow: No kid in the country has been more difficult to figure out than Looney. Literally nobody has any idea what he is doing. Word is he is down to two schools, but figuring out which two are impossible. During the spring it seemed like Duke was the pick, but that has kind of cooled some, though they still could easily get him. With no clear leader I will go with the staff that he is most familiar with and pick the Volunteers. Prediction: Tennessee

Evan Daniels: Kevon Looney will announce Thursday afternoon and his recruitment is a tough one to figure out. In the past two days, I’ve had one coach refer to his recruitment as a “coin flip” and another say it was the “strangest recruitment ever.” There’s a group of people that think Looney is headed to Tennessee, while some think Duke, I’m going to go with Florida on this one. Billy Donovan saw him on Wednesday and although they just took another forward in Devin Robinson, the Gators seems to have the momentum. Prediction: Florida

I think it's between UT, Florida, and Duke now. I'm worried Florida might have taken the lead with all this talk out of nowhere though :( I mean no one was talking about Florida and then with 48 hours left to go they come out of nowhere?
