I dont know why it took this long to figure it out but at my job we have to be careful about that stuff as well.

You'd think this is something they'd have thought out, I don't know a month ago maybe?

I would absolutely share it unless I was told by a friendly source (the player or a coach) and asked to keep it quiet, but I wouldn't look for it to happen in this instance.

When word leaks in a situation like this it typically starts when someone associated with one of the schools who lost out gets the call from the prospect or the family, then in 'sour grapes fashion' shares the information with a friendly media member.

I don't think any school is going to know before he goes public today, so I don't anticipate any leaks.

Better check my post. I have been saying for days now that he is a vol and coach martin knew it.

Any delay in an announcement diminishes my chances of being correct. Looks like that isn't a worry now!!

Idk about that, maybe. A better hypothesis may be Looney just never did the paperwork like he was supposed to. Signing waivers to publicize/publish your announcement on school grounds is probably common practice. So that would make more sense IMO, but you still wouldn't think that he or the school would overlook that step in the process.

Idk, the random MSU RT, now this confusion, maybe Looney is just drained at this point.

See a lot of us I think view it the opposite. Looney and his family have went out of their way to keep everything simple and quite. If you believe their is a shred of truth in the family wanting their privacy before his committment date then 100% chance CCM and co. earned points by not going. IMO
