2014 F Kevon Looney

From duke boards...

Duke scout Mod says "he doesn't think it's Duke. I don't think duke thinks it Duke".

Brian Snow posted on their board: In the last hour I have had a few sources tell me they think it is between Tennessee and Florida, but no one seems to know for sure. Either way, and this could be off, but I am pretty confident it isn't sounding like it will be Duke, at least by the tea leaves.

Trying to get to the bottom of this. Kevon told me that they told him this morning that he couldn't announce on school grounds. The way he responded to my question, I read it as the WIAA shut it down.

Now, local sources in Milwaukee say that it is the Superintendent of schools that shut it down. Very confusing and doesn't make any sense to me on many levels.

Looney is a quiet, respectful, hard working kid who has been very low key. He wanted to do a nice little gathering at the school and have his one moment without being over the top about it. I can't for the life of me understand why somebody would wait until the last minute to shut it down and what the reason for doing so would be.

Trying to get more info. Pretty sure Kevon will let me know once something is planned. For all I know, he may just tweet decision now.

Apparently, Kevon Looney will now make his announcement at 2 p.m. today on ESPN radio out of Milwaukee.

Wonder if anybody is keeping count of Bruin conspiracy theories that do not transpire? If so, add one more to the count. Apparently, the 'events' of today are not a ploy due to the fact that Looney had not actually decided where he was going.

I think we are his choice and have been his choice for awhile now.

I was worried he would wait

I've been cautiously optimistic since April of 2012 (see first post in this thread), but the 247 Crystal Ball still bothers me a bit. I know it is a crap shoot, but usually at the last minute SOMEBODY is picking the right team. Hard to believe none of them is flipping to Tennessee. All the flipping action is still UF.

Maybe he decided to draw straws to decide where he is going. School ran out of straws so the delay is time to go to McD's and get some.

I just don't understand why he wouldn't chose UT...he is "the guy" he can literally play all 40 minutes at the 4 or 3 if he wanted too. No other place can offer him that except Wisconsin...

Has Florida really been in this since the beginning? I always thought it was Duke, MSU, and us. I would think Robinson's recent commitment could effect this.

Surely the news is pointing to us....

That's my only reservation as well. Now most of the guys picking UF have said they don't know it's just a gut pick, but still.
