Glenwood High School

Just picked up a Tennessee offer. Has offers from Texas A&M, St. Joseph's, Wichita State, Bradley, and Butler.

He is friends with Larry Austin also.

Can shoot the lights outs, and can play a little PG. Decent athlete and a hard worker, has really taken off his senior year. A consensus top 300 player.

Watching some tape:

Okay athlete. I would say he's better than Skylar McBee. Does have long arms and seems to be able to take contact and keep going.

Dribbling is decent. Stays low to ground, keeps his head up. Has the ability to get in the paint with either hand.

I like his shot. A lot of moving parts, but he has a very quick release and always gets his body squared. He does have that Lofton-esque ability to create separation with his shot and get a cleaner look. Gets good arc on the shot, some nice rotation. Always has his hands high and looks consistent.

It seemed like he does a lot of ball handling for his team. At Tennessee, he wouldn't have to do that very much.

I think he can be a valuable piece for the program. Come in the first two years as a 10-15 minute a game shooter off the bench and develop enough defensively as a starter.

Should we not make the NCAA this season, rumors will start flying that Coach Martin will be a lame duck coach next season.

If recruits anticipate that he will be fired, they will look elsewhere to play baset ball

The fact he's 6'5" + makes him more appealing as well being a shooter, much easier to get your shot off at his height than 6'1"-6'2"

Posted this in the recruiting news thread...

SIAP, I didn't see it mentioned but he went to the same high school as Daniel Helm (enrolled at UT to play TE in football). Daniel played on his basketball team until this year and I think he and Peyton are somewhat close.

Again SIAP, I did a quick scan and didn't see it mentioned.

Watching this Cincinnati v L'ville game and this kid kinda of reminds me of L'ville Luke Hancock ( I think is his name. )

Don't need any more guards.
If you sign one more in 14 it needs to be a JUCO big.

Who else is leavin?
Have 10 guards on roster now.
Get some big boys in here.
Don't need any more 3s playing at the 4.

Q is gone IMO

So either stokes returns and there's your big, or Stokes is gone and there's another scholarship for a big.

He's not 6'5+.

I liked what I saw.

Pros: Looks like a decent ball handler. Always seems to get his body squared up and has a quick, high release. Better finisher from what I initially though.

Cons: Not athletic. Looks slow. I'd have to watch him defensively to be convinced.

Being tall sure has helped Reese, Armani, and Edwards with their shooting. This is a typical CM recruit.
