I'm not saying who was or wasn't better.

I'm saying UGA still lost to two of worse 6 win SEC teams in the conference in games they couldn't afford to lose (and one of them didn't even have to pass the ball to do it.)




The reality here was Bama was going to stomp whoever showed up in ATL this year. The difference in East teams would have just been the difference in Bama being up 21-3 at half and being up 28-7 at half.

Bama stops the run all day and all UGA can do is run the ball (in part to cover for how poorly they pass the ball). It's not really a more favorable matchup.
