2015/2016 Deer Season has begun

I shot this buck about 10 minutes before kickoff of the North Texas game.

Doe from yesterday. I've seen some smaller bucks but I'm more of a freezer man than a trophy hunter but I'm turning a big buck down.

Thanks Smashmouth, he was about 100 yards. He was the 7th buck following a hot doe's trail. The first was a really nice buck too, but he was running wide open so I didn't try a shot.

Its a business, they process deer there. people take their deer there, pay the fee & get it back. nothing was wasted. smh

Really a testament to good wildlife management if anything. Looks like a very healthy population.
