Can't help but think that schools like Mizzou and Ole Miss aren't as attractive as they seem to think and will be severely disappointed.

I actually feel that Arkansas is in the best position at this time unless Ole Miss gets Norvell but I have feeling he will have a shot at couple of more attractive options.

Any job in the SEC is attractive (except Vandy)

Yes but we are talking degrees, is Arkansas, Ole Miss or Mizzou more attractive than FSU?
FSU is easily a Top 5 job IMO, so not really fair. The only schools in the SEC that most would choose over FSU are LSU, Bama, FL and UGA (I'd rather have the FSU job than UT by far).

I don't disagree if being objective but that is part of the point I'm attempting to make. Those jobs while attractive aren't necessarily going to attract better coaches than what they have, except for the case of Arkansas possibly. Mizzou caught lightning in a bottle and benefited from a historically low east, Ole Miss bought their short term success and are dealing with the consequences. I'm convinced both those teams are mistaking their recent success as their true place in the conference and I don't believe it realistic.

I think it's the fans more than the schools themselves holding the jobs in high regard.
And I disagree 100% about attracting better coaches. Outside of Vandy, the SEC is a huge step up for most.

So you think ole Miss and Mizzou will do better than what they have? I'm not convinced.

Time will tell. There was a reason they were fired.
In the case of Mizzou and Ole Miss to me it appears a case of unrealistic expectations based on a brief capsule of time. But I agree that only time will tell.

Thus is new SEC. You get 2 yrs max to rebuild. And you better win more games in year 2, than year 3. Exceptions are Vandy and Ky.

I dont think Ole Miss really cares about football that much.

Are the wheels falling off in Austin... again???

It will be interesting to see if Ehlinger stays or leaves early.

I think he's coming back. Being the Longhorns QB was his dream plus his play hasn't exactly been stellar this year. Would be a third day flyer pick at best at this point I would think unless he puts in an insane showing at the combine and Pro day.

And this list will likely get bigger after bowl season.

Will it? Most coaching changes occur around this time. Don't recall many happening after bowl games, minus ol' Joey Freshwater leaving us in Jan. God bless those trojans for firing him on the tarmac.
