Not much room for him to operate. They were packed in that zone daring us to shoot because they didn't think we could beat them from the three line. For much of the game we didn't. Then bone and admiral hit a couple toward the end.

When he got the ball there were three around him. Just to bad we couldn't make them pay for sinking in that far on defense. If Turner, Bone and Schofield (earlier in the game) could have been more consistent in their shooting this game would have been a run away.

Thought his team was anxious today.

Didn't think they worked hard enough to get the ball inside (co-sign).

Says he thought this would be a tough game.

Saw some uncharacteristic things from his team.

Don't ever take a win in the NCAA for granted.

They did a nice job in their 3-2 trying to keep us from posting. Got to get Grant touches in different ways. The high low from AD to Grant out of one of the TO's was a nice play.

They were 52% from three. And not all of them were wide open.

That one dude hit at least 3 3’s that were very low % shots. His misses those and we win by 16

As weird as it sounds, I though we actually played Burns really well. Lamonte did a great job and the hedges were pretty solid.

They knew lamonte was our best defender. They set screens to try and get him switched off. It worked often.

Iowa averages 8 3s made per game so theyll probably make about 15 too

Don’t like that part about seeing some uncharacteristic things from this team today. That’s a little bit of a scary quote. Hope they were thinking too much about being upset last year. Now, let’s hope we can put that behind us, and go out and play our best ball the next 5 games.
