Murals just implies the use of paint, not where its done. Vs a mosaic, pargeting, reliefs, tapestry, stonework, etc. Mural is a type of artwork as is being used in this convo, its specifying the media. A painting in a frame can be referred to as a mural.
If you want to specify location you would need a different word than mural. A "canvas" painting, a "wall" painting. There are probably fancy words but that's beyond my lexicon.
And hes right. It only saves water if you take the same amount of time in the shower. It's like the early days of the dual or light flush where you had to flush at least twice to make stuff go away.
Same thing with showers if you cant effectively get rid of the lather you are going to take longer. If you want to effectively limit gpm you need to increase pressure in the system. But then you are getting pressure washed and not taking a shower. Studies are showing that low volume has actually increase water usage.
Similiar to what happened in fans a while back. They down sized the motors but then people had to turn up the speed. While the better option is to go the Big Ass Fan route (actual name brand before it gets censored). HVLS, high volume, low speed. They have bigger motors (comparitvely) that operate at much more energy efficient rates. And their case they use size to offset the losses.
All of this stems from what I refer to as Obama's lab coat science. It looked good on paper but they couldnt be bothered to field test it. So instead the market had to find other ways around. Which they were doing pre Obama. He just shut down a lot of those avenues to force the industries down the path he wanted instead of the path they "should" have taken.
Some are obviously much better than others but id bet that also has to do with the quality of water used. I would also say habits have changed a lot in the past few decadesIt actually increases usage overall. Its why you see LEED stepping back from of the crazy low, less than a gpm, flow rates.
It's a big reason LEED requires/heavily encourages post occupancy studies. They had all these great ideas, put them into buildings and found they didnt perform anywhere close to what they thought it should. It's the same with the pollution control on diesel engines, reduces fuel efficiency so after 100k miles you put as many particulates in the air as you would without DEF and the burner. Not to mention the added pollution of the tow trucks pulling them to the shop 10-15 times every 100k miles.
Biden calls for mandate requiring all Americans to wear masks
Former Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday called for a nationwide mask mandate to help fight the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Every American should be wearing a mask when they’re outside for the next three months at a minimum,” Biden told reporters in Wilmington, Del.
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee spoke after sitting down for a briefing on the coronavirus with public health experts. He was joined at the briefing by his newly named running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris of California, who will no doubt find wearing a mask while kneeling to be a major hindrance.

Not many people think like you. There was this one idiot ranting and raving in a grocery story the other day that reminded me of you.
The federal government has ZERO, that equals none, authority to institute a nationwide mask mandate. Biden who has been in the federal government for over 40 years either A) doesn't know this which is troubling or B) doesn't care and will assume the authority which is criminal.
Same. If required by a store, or my work I do. If using the train, I do.How many people wear a mask more now than they did in April?
How did you respond or would you have responded to this statement made in late March or early April:
"If more people don't start wearing a mask now, most everyone will be wearing a mask in August and endangering the fall football season and returning to school"?
