Exactly, The Muell had 1 job and that was to come to conclusions. He punted instead of doing the 1 job he was tasked with because he couldn't find evidence of wrongdoing by Trump. Or I should say his team punted and couldn't because the Muell was a bystander, figurehead.

I said at the beginning of his term (post is here somewhere) that in the end the Muell would slink away in disgrace and that's exactly what happened. He was used to lend some credibility to a witch hunt and it cost him what little credibility he had left.

So you think it's a good thing that money buys elections? That advertising about imaginary products is more important than the real product? Marketing is not much more than how far you can lie and still claim honesty ... and the basis for how we elect politicians - that should be a very scary thought to anyone with half a brain.

I agree. It's just like any good arms race, and one of the big reasons we have only two parties in the running. After all, it's easier to hedge bets on big campaign investments - more like checkers than chess. Also the entry level to invest on an unlikely startup party win becomes prohibitive.

Yeah I do think money buys elections; we've just gravitated to doing it differently. I still believe campaign finance is just one half of politics and bribes.

Remember when Trump’s campaign manager compared the campaign to the Death Star and had no idea how that end. Well the Trump campaign is officially out of money 27 days before Election Day.

He let the country down. He tried to satisfy too many agendas, including his own not be viciously criticized. Instead, he should have said what the evidence shows: Russia helped Trump to win because they think he is better for them policy-wise and Trump knew it and didn't give a flying f%ck that there is anything wrong with that.

Depends on the individual. I will vote either way. I can't answer for what you would do. Having said that, I'm sure there are many Republicans in California who won't bother to vote. Democrats in Oklahoma are so crazy about Trump that they would crawl through miles of broken glass to vote against him.
