2020 Presidential Race

This ^^^^ .... is a poll which has been flagged for a Republican Party bias. The fact that their founder is touting a Trump lead, should tell you all you need to know about his level of objectivity here. Trafalgar is propaganda... but don't take my word for it, Real Clear Politics has flagged them for bias.

When you see their polls on Real Clear Politics, there will always be a: (R)* .... next to Trafalgar - that is why.

That doesn’t change the fact that according to RCP they were the most accurate of the 2018 cycle.

Nate Silver post anti-Trump comments all the time. Should we stop listening to him?

538 rates them a C-. Trafalgar tries to factor in what they call a "social desirability effect". In other words, they pretend to read people's minds. It's not an objective survey. Real Clear Politics hasn't flagged Rasmussen Reports for a bias... think about that. Trafalgar is considered to be more biased than Rasmussen. That says a lot.

How in the hell can you be for that when he was duly and fairly elected ? You do understand what you are saying right ?

When Obama's qualifications were questioned, the party line was "the people have spoken". Probably all of DC wants to be sure another outsider is never elected president. What I've always wondered is how Trump might have been different without DC and the press out for his blood 24/7; there's no way that being continually on the defensive didn't change things. Too bad a dem will never get the same treatment because I'd love to see some just desserts.

Most people understand that Rasmussen Reports leans to the right. However, Real Clear Politics hasn't flagged them for bias. It takes a lot to get flagged for bias... that should tell you all you need to know about Trafalgar... and yes, CNBC/Change Research has been flagged for a Democratic Party bias and that is no better. These polls have an agenda.

One concerning thing about presidential polling this cycle is that many Trump voters are ashamed to admit they support him. They are more likely to lie when polled. I guess it's part of the cult.

Fair enough. That’s enough politics for tonight. Big game tomorrow. Go Vols!

I don't get that sense. I don't meet many Trump supporters who are timid in their support. I also think that such people would be more likely to decline participation in a poll, than they would be to take the time to complete a survey and lie. There is never anything which prevents a person from hanging up on a pollster, and it doesn't take as much time to do that, as it does to lie to them.

Could there be a slight "hidden vote" for Trump? Possibly... but it's not enough to counter these double digit leads we are seeing for Biden.

Well, your team has pretty much made it a crime. You call us uneducated rubes, white supremacists, racists, etc.

LOL. This is hyperbole. It was very early in the race. The only one who got out was Amy Klobuchar. That did help Biden in Minnesota... but that doesn't explain everything.[/QUOTE

You’re lying to yourself. Practically all but Warren suddenly got out before Super Tuesday and they endorsed Biden. Warren stayed in because she’d hurt Sanders. Once they stole Super Tuesday from Sanders, it was over.

Not ashamed, just don’t want to deal with the mindless, foaming mouth crazies for something as meaningless as participation in a poll.

IF they were the most accurate poll in 2018, why would RCP’s opinion matter? Unless you truly believe RCP has no political agenda? I am fairly confident Trump will lose but most polls were pretty inaccurate in 2016

You haven't been on the opposite of the table from them I'll bet. Don't kid yourself, friendship ends at that point.
Oh, I know what they are. The 2 fair ones were sitting on my side and had weight with the judge because they weren't drama queens. The ones sitting opposite me were treated in accordance with how they acted, like children.

It is just as likely there are hidden Biden voters also with how divided the country is. Take a state like Georgia for example. There is no reason for someone to hide support for Trump in Georgia but the polls show a toss up. I see very few Biden yard signs here but I see Trump signs everywhere.

Trump will lose and it has nothing to do with Joe Biden or the acceptance of the Left’s liberal policies but everything to do with Trump himself. If Twitter didn’t exist, he would be re-elected

He’s shown that he can immolate himself via landline as well.

Trump’s campaign has spent 2 billion dollars to make this a referendum on Joe Biden and Trump has simply been too childish to allow the spotlight to rest on anyone but Trump.

What about shy Biden voters, like some of the women in the lives of the Trumpers here? LOL.

I have a friend in a state where your parents can see your party registration online. She is registered with a party she’s never voted for once. It all offsets.

I did the same thing in California, didn't offset a single thing.

My anecdote is more powerful than yours.

What about voters like myself who have never been asked to take a survey and wouldn’t give out any information if I was . I know a lot of people that are like this .
