Nobody should be an arbiter or need to be an arbiter of what is fair and objective. Fair and objective is factual and unbiased - that doesn't need an arbiter. Truth stands on its own merit. This is the same argument I use with respect to judges BTW - they should judge without political bias - facts and law. It would seem this would all be self evident for the "party of science".
