2020 Presidential Race

I understand the sentiment and don’t disagree. But let’s be honest here too.

Just think if Trump was likeable on a wider scale? This could have been 1984 for the Repubs all over again but the orange man couldn’t get out of his own way or keep his mouth shut and off Twitter and not antagonize the press when his ego is challenged.

I have no doubt some people didn’t vote for Trump this go around simply because they are sick of him. You may not agree with it, but it’s the hard truth.
Stopped reading at the bold. Just think if the MSM didn't run with a hoax. Just think if social media didn't censure only one side? Just think if China didn't release a virus?

It's why I'm not bummed about Biden - I'm tired of the schtick and the policy upside is minimal

It doesn't. "Global warming is real" = "Reducing carbon emissions will fix it."

The ultimate false equivalency for morons. Current projections are that the Paris Climate accord could reduce global temps.... Drum roll please... 1.5 degrees celcius over the course of 100 years.

Which is well within the margin of error for the models. Meaning, it would reduce temperatures so little it would be impossible to even measure whether it had any effect at all. But let's sink the battleship over that because "Muh global warming".
Yeah but how big is our hole in the ozone layer now?

I’m not saying it is just the possibility. All close battleground states need to be 100% recounted under observers from both parties. Every voting precinct.

I definitely can see that there is a possibility for fraud, I just am asking for support for the idea that this makes it easier than standard voting.

And this they risked our futures as we see the economy tank in the coming year, gas prices skyrocket, job loss, and many other fallouts all because they are sick of the guy who gave us the greatest economy in the history of the country. Real geniuses

Bottom line is if Trump could stay off Twitter and stop antagonizing this election would have been over before dinner last night. I really believe that. The economy has been off the scale even with Covid.

A person is smart and people are stupid is apt here. However, Trump absolutely could have done (or not done) certain things that would have significantly helped him.

There was a tweet that was getting dunked on pretty hard last night about a kid who voted yesterday. He said he went into the booth planning to vote for Trump, but changed his mind at the last second to Biden because he "wanted his Instagram feed to be about himself again."

Yes, that's such a vapid thing, but it is indicative of how a decent number of people felt. A lot of people were at least OK with his politics, but were exhausted of Trump's shtick.

That kid is going to be severely disappointed.

People that voted for Biden to get politics out of everything are going to realize pretty quick they made a miscalculation bad enough they might start getting mistaken for pollsters.

I don't think that crowd is sick necessarily of politics being in everything - they're sick of Trump and his personality, which received incessant media coverage.

Right. So were they sick of Trump or were they sick of the media coverage, and blamed it on Trump?

Anyone believing the divisive media coverage will go away with Trump is making a big mis calculation. That has been my biggest defense of Trump since 2016. He made it extremely easy for them, but he is not and never was at the center of all of the divisive rhetoric.
