How is that different from traditional voting? Why can't they hold back those ballots? Why can't they trash them? People can game the system and try to vote twice, either way. What about mail makes it easier?

USPS failure is different from cheating, and yes, they do often mess up unimportant, indistinguishable mail, but it's probably a lot harder to mess up the delivery of a distinct looking piece of important mail that everybody in the news is talking about.

It was looking bad for Trump during the evening even though the maps were showing a lot of trending red. The outstanding "estimated vote counts" were way too high, and people were thinking too linearly that the trend that put Trump up would carry - no guarantee of that at all - even without cheating. Trump's margins were way too thin in places like WI, MI, NC, GA, and likely PA. Frankly, I'm shocked that GA is still trending red, and that NC hasn't fallen. I expected worse when I looked today. For me the first clue that it was going to be a bad night was how long KY, TX, and FL took to start trending red, and how close the numbers were for a long time after. Atlanta (and probably Charlotte) is a blight on the south - Trump has a whopping 16% in DeKalb Co and 14% in Clayton Co - Fulton at least has him at 27%.

I assume the people saying there is a high risk of fraud would be making this obvious case, if it were in fact true. I'm gonna guess there are some controls in place, because we've been doing mail-in voting for a long time.

When I vote in person I vote on a machine not a piece of paper.

I would guess some postal workers would be willing to cheat, I don't doubt if they saw a Trump sign in someone's yard that some would trash those ballots. Yet if someone had a Biden sign they could be given their neighbors ballots.

Voting isn't difficult, there's no reason just about everyone can't vote in person

But not at this level. The higher the mail in ballots , the more opportunities there are or fraud.

I understand the sentiment and don’t disagree. But let’s be honest here too.

Just think if Trump was likeable on a wider scale? This could have been 1984 for the Repubs all over again but the orange man couldn’t get out of his own way or keep his mouth shut and off Twitter and not antagonize the press when his ego is challenged.

I have no doubt some people didn’t vote for Trump this go around simply because they are sick of him. You may not agree with it, but it’s the hard truth.
