That should work, hell whats wrong with the fill in the circle ballots like the SAT tests? The machines that read them are pretty reliable and don't have to be hooked to the internet.

They have to be hooked up to some form of the net or server to add up the votes.

I am taking standardized tests on computers now, nothing wrong with that system.

If it like my test you dont have a way to mess it up. There are like three buttons, confirm, forward, or back. Just like one you fill in yourself you should always check your answers.

The problem is how much $ is involved in the campaigns and the returns in power and $ that a win brings. That has done nothing but get worse over the years and thats not going to change.

Theres no reason why mail in ballots shouldn't be verified and in hand the day of the election. If you want to wait until election day to actually count them thats fine, but the idea of votes coming in days after the polls have closed make no sense. The uproar you see now would be the same if the rolls were reversed.
