2020 Presidential Race

It was a claim made by far left idiots then and it's a claim being made by far right idiots now.

I would rather see the country stay together but it can't on it's current path. Scale the fed gov back to pre-civil war levels and it would work another 200+ years but outside of that we are destined to break.

Well, I'm just using your post from last night as a reference. You were the one that claimed Biden was "low energy" and the "safe bet."

Somehow he energized that many more voters with his "low energy" campaign?

You could have put me on the Democratic ticket and the results would be the same. It has nothing to do with Biden. He’s just reaping the benefits.

Trump beat you to the punch on “fraud” by about 4 years.

Just as he claimed fraud bc he lost the popular vote in 2016, put together a team to uncover fraud, found no proof, and never mentioned that they found no proof of widespread fraud.

In other words “fool me once, shame on you”.

Now he’s dipping back into that bag and low and behold if his supporters aren’t eating it up....again.

“Fool me twice.....”
Sure, Jan

How much of a role does Trump's fear of criminal prosecution by the State of New York play a role in this going forward? I don't see why the state prosecutors, in their discretion, cannot agree to forego that if it is understood that Trump goes quietly into that good night.
I don't think that is going to happen. Why would you let that criminal go quietly into the night? I doubt that he goes quietly anywhere. That is not in his DNA.

I like the four day option a little more but national holiday is tough because we see how much had to stay open for a pandemic as essential. There are plenty of ways to vote and plenty of time currently without arbitrarily extending deadlines for mail ins. There needs to be a receipt deadline of election day. See Florida. That's the best way. Imo.
How FL did it was perfect, but there will be states with 100 different excuses of why they can't do that

Also, why would the votes coming from large cities change my point? Suburbs typically surround large cities.

Because the numbers went up for Trump in the suburbs?

Either provide the numbers that Trump lost ground across the board in the suburbs or let it go.

Actually Stacy Abrams took that energy and signed up 800K people to vote so that their voice could be heard. She created a blue print that other states will use. It is amazing how some people use the lesson from a loss.
Her voter registration had some impact, but still not sure this all happens without mail in voting and general population trends.

The far right has killed far more people and they have threatened to kidnap and kill a governor.

We can go round and round on this but part of the problem is that people need to recognize the shortcomings on their own side.
Which both sides fail to do. Each side is eager to point out the shortcomings of the other side, but continually ignore their own. I've seen you guilty of that as well.

And I don't buy that the right has "killed far more people". Death has resulted from actions by both sides and I doubt we'll ever know actual numbers. You're flaming again with that statement.

But that was, of course, your intention.

Haha. Comical. The man who supposedly stands for "the rule of law" is currently raging about the democratic process. Makes sense to me!

Trump, at best, is a cheap imitation of Richard Nixon.

Maybe you knew Richard Nixon personally. One of my friends was a Secret Service agent on Nixon's White House detail. And he has told that of the four Presidents he guarded, (Nixon-Reagan), Nixon had the highest personal integrity of any of them (the agent was a Democrat at the time), Carter made him a Republican and he loved Ronald Reagan absolutely.

I do not know Trump personally, didn't know Nixon. I like Trump's policies. Based on what I've seen, read and heard, Trump would not win a favorable comparison with Nixon personally. But the tripe that has been passed along by people who do not know their butts from a hole in the ground about Nixon gets old.

Instead of blaming voter fraud, I really hope Republicans take an introspective look into their own party. Trump will be a footnote in history, but the party will continue and they have to become more central. The suburban votes in this election prove that. People don’t like extreme rhetoric on either side of the aisle.
I certainly hope they look into the party and encourage people to Romney to leave it. I hope the party learned a yuuuge lesson and that lesson would be to be a fighter. All candidates need to be more like Trump and less like Romney, McCain and Bush.

And you want to talk about rhetoric? Your dementia patient got 71 million votes or so while his base is out there talking about killing President Trump, looting Targets, burning down Walgreens, burning down police precincts, beating people and in some cases killing people.

Lol... do you actually understand what semi automatic means/is? Nothing needs to be clarified. “Shall not be infringed upon.”
I would dare say that I understand more fully than you do--I have been shot at by both. Just pointing out that the Federal definition claims semi-auto means assault weapon when a lot of people think that it only means fully automatic and actually support the ban based on ignorance of what segments of the government is proposing.. Does you7 definition of shall not be infringed upon include tanks,ATWs, and maybe a nuc or two--where is the dividing line there clearly has to be one>

As opposed to trying to de-legitimize an election by claiming Russia collusion? Let's not pretend only one side is guilty. That's where some of you keep losing me.

I was referring to the notion of making it harder to vote, so no, Russia has nothing to do with that. Unfortunately, not sure you can “both sides” this one

Not in the least. Without the electoral college, every vote would count.
With the electoral college, only states that are toss ups get attention.
Anyone's vote who lives in a blue or red state is meaningless. The result is a foregone conclusion.
It actually has the opposite effect of what you guys claim.
No. You only want to represent the winner. That leaves out the loser. All you are doing is moving the lack of representation around, your arent fixing the problem.

It let's the people in the 5 big states run the country. Guess what, the people in the other 45 states dont want to live that way, that's why they dont live there.
