California politicians loves them some taxes and restrictions. It’s much easier to list things you can do without being taxed or having to have a permit for ( almost nothing ) than the other way around .

Also the increase in the cost of living that will undoubtedly happen. Will these same morons cheer when they get afford their house anymore? How about bread and milk? A new car, well I hope you like paying a wheel tax. They don't understand what they're about to give up.

Biden highlighted that a "record number of Americans of all races, faiths, religions, chose change over more of the same. They’ve given us a mandate for action on COVID, the economy, climate change, systemic racism. They’ve made it clear they want the country to come together."

First of all, this was the most likely outcome and I’m glad it’s over. From here til Jan 20th will just be noise, but it’s over.

However, Biden’s comment is telling. Because “record numbers” were on both sides. And how the hell is this close of an election a “mandate?” So, there’s the first shot in more divided, no compromise, no results government.

I still have hope that both sides will. I’ll be the first to admit that Pelosi has been for the Democrats what Trump is for the Republicans. She antagonizes the right much the same way Trump does the left.

Florida voting for both Trump and a 15 dollar minimum wage give me some hope that people are willing to give and work together.

I wish I still had hope, lol, but antagonistic politics is the new "thing", at least for now. Both sides love it when they're on the side holding the Presidency, and hate it when they're not. Going back to Obama. The left ate it up when he made his comments about elections having consequences. To me, that was the birth of the antagonistic politics movement. Eight years later, along comes Trump, ramping up that antagonism at least ten-fold and some felt it was payback. Now we have it swing back the other way, and no one has learned a damn thing. It's another tit-for-tat battle between people more consumed with politics than the welfare of the country. People just want their way. I'm not sure there is any compromise left to be had.

Obamacare has almost destroyed the middle class.

Before Obamacare most companies provided a Cadillac plan for their employees, now most offer a plan were the employee must meet a certain deductible before insurance will pay 1dime. Long gone are the $10 doctor visit co-pays.

That's a big reason the Dems are losing the union vote...not that they make a huge voting block anymore anyways Share of union workers in the U.S. falls to a record low in 2019
