2020 Presidential Race

How though? I keep asking on here what Trump did that negatively affected people’s daily lives that wasn’t self-inflicted. Maybe you’ll answer. We can’t discuss where Biden will make your daily life better until I know what Trump did that was so bad.
I've answered that question 50 times. He made the country an angrier, sadder, dumber, and more divided place in which to live.
All of those "feels" (such a stupid term) are more important than whether you have a dollar more or less in your wallet.

I realise as I'm from England and I don't have a dog in this fight, but could you help me with a few points:

Whilst I would not want Trump to be either my pastor or my daughters partner (the alleged stories here are incredibly damming about Bill Clinton), it seemed from afar that he tried to put your country first.

Right from day one it seemed the Democrat's never accepted the 2016 result culminating in a failed impeachment yet now the Republicans are painted as bad losers.

Trump never blew the world up as we were told and best of all he is the only one to stand up to the real danger in the world that is China.

However I think it would be very hard for USA to unite again under his leadership.

I hope I will not be shot down I genuinely would like to know the answers to the above.

And what role did Dems play in that? How about the MSM?

Trump didn’t use the government to get rich. What has Biden ever done other than be in government? Biden couldn’t run a lemonade stand. He’s owned by foreign countries. Going to be scary when they want a policy that benefits them and hurts us because he will have to bow down to them
Didn't use the goverrnment to get rich? No. He was one of those lazy Repubs. not paying his taxes. or was it Dems you were referring to?
Which is worse. Being owned by a foreign country or the Big Pharmas that are gouging you every day? If you can find a politician that isn't owned by someone send me a list.

The media and opposition party will always play a role.
And that is why it's stupid to have a strategy of making them the enemy.
We no longer have "media" in context of news or facts for the population to consume.
We have extensions of political parties with opinions being sold as fact.

And yes, that's an enemy of the people.

You don’t have a clue what he paid in taxes. If he didn’t pay much good for him and everyone alive tries to find ways to pay less taxes. Being owned by China is way worse when they want Biden to push a policy favoring them over us he won’t have a choice because if he were to refuse they would tell the world how they have bought the Biden’s

Thanks for the observation from outside the crucible. And I can tell you that you’ll basically get two forms of answers right along party lines.

Democrats will say that Trump never did anything and had outside help to even win in 2016 even though their own POTUS claimed it wasn’t possible and they ran a partisan investigation (Mueller) which still didn’t result in material to remove him. They purposely obstructed his entire term. Which frankly happens in politics but it’s just a waste of time. And they ran a sham partisan impeachment which was stillborn even when started. Just full blown obstruction

On the Republican side this was a presidency most of us didn’t even expect to happen. And I think most of absolutely agree with your view of the man vs his policy. I was pleasantly surprised at his policy decisions and with the exception of a lack of fiscal responsibility largely agreed with his actions.

The Dems have threatened to unwind Trumps tax credits while chasing energy policy that threatens our energy independence which Trump got us to. They will of course deflect on the effectiveness of the tax policy which is idiocy everybody could see the impact on their own net income. We had a couple of threads on it here. This morning I read a couple of non partisan write-ups on Biden’s tax plan. It is not expected to deliver on its promises of revenue generation.

In ending Trump is a very divisive character. There was an expectation that he would change his demeanor after winning which I laughed at it got him to the White House why expect him to change.

What I am interested in seeing is how will the Republican Party respond going forward. Trump’s term is over however many good things for the GOP platform were moved forward in a term that wasn’t supposed to happen. Even a 6-3 conservative SCOTUS makeup now. If the GOP continues along the path they were put on in 2017 they’ve got my support. If instead they fall back on their old ways marching out lackluster establishment unappealing candidates I’m probably done with them. The next two years till our mid term elections are going to be very interesting.

Sure we have factual news. We also have varying degrees of biased news. We also have some sources of fake news.

Would be a GREAT day for America.

She’s not going away. As a matter of fact she’ll be a lifelong politician because she’s not qualified or capable of earning anywhere near the salary and benefits she has now. In a few years she’ll be a millionaire while bashing capitalism and espousing a socialist/communist agenda and demanding everyone else make sacrifices while she enriches herself.

$750 the year he was elected. (Public record) When you fail at business you don't have to pay much.
