How a county votes tells you nothing about who individual voters are or their income level.
From your list, take Alabama counties of Perry, Sumter, and Wilcox; all are 68-75% majority black. That resonates throughout the South which has a disproportionately large population of blacks who typically vote in bloc for Democrats. The AL state legislature was run by Dems from Reconstruction until 2011.
That pattern also resonates throughout the South with only S.C. being an exception. Nearly 3/4s of the 40 poorest counties in the US are majority black.
Again, there is no city, county, or state in which everyone is a Democrat or Republican. Where ever Repub voters are found, they have higher average incomes and less dependency.
Is there a state more blue than CA? Likely not, and yet has the highest poverty rate in the US, and largely due to the same minority demographic considerations I mention....”Lol!”
