The transition is already not going smoothly and Trump is already creating incident.

I'm relatively certain you were one of the ones who maintained that Trump would concede when he lost and treat the transition like a "normal" president.

I'll use an arbitrary number of 5%. If 5% of children were brought by traffickers and the child separation policy was not active, would you be OK with 5% of the children being given to traffickers and sent on their merry way?

There should have been a procedure in place to reunite them later... there wasn't. They didn't think anyone would care... they were wrong.

If anything, the longer this plays out, the more it seems this election was conducted fairly. Trump, who has the highest incentive to put forth his case for fraud hasn't been able to make any headway. Musinformation campaigns about on social media per usual. But in court, Trump's had effectively zero success.

The transition doesn't start until after the EC meets.

No I said he will leave office peacefully.

There was and is. The smugglers disappear and leave the kids. They have attempted to find the parents going as far as digging through court docs in other countries. Also reunite who? The initial smuggler and the kid? The parents that paid the smuggler to take their kid who is now in the US? Why would they take the kids back in Honduras when they could deny it to give them a shot in America like they hoped? There is this notion that they are separating these kids for the sake of making the families sad.

So again I'll ask, what policy should be in place? Give specifics, please.
