From what I can tell they should have appealed to the 6th circuit court of appeals, but they appealed to the federal circuit which mostly hears patent stuff. I'm not smart enough to post links from my phone's twitter app.
Trump has always been obsessed with popularity. He has the biggest inferiority complex I have ever seen. He still seethes from being rejected by those whose admiration he most sought and having to get his adoration from those he spent his life ridiculing, ignoring, and avoiding.
It kills him that the NYT doesn’t fawn over him. He is old school NY elite and the NYT is the pinnacle of respect. It’s why they were one of the first interviews he did after the election.
At the same time he doesn’t like being called on his falsehoods on the spot. He got away with it as TV star because no one cared what a reality TV show star lied about. After the Apprentice dropped out of the the top ratings spot and he kept saying it was No. 1 no one cares and let him rant. One time Billy Bush got tired of him saying it and said it wasn’t no.1 anymore. He pulled Bush aside and told him “It doesn’t matter. If I say it’s no.1 people will believe it.”
Once he became President and reporters challenged his lies with facts he defaulted to the safe space of Fox and Friends and Hannity interviews.
Can you give one example of a lie that they called him on that they can prove was a lie? I’m sure you can come up with one. And, I’m sure he did lie about something because a high percentage of people tell lies. But, it has to be a lie that everyone agreed and said yeah, he totally lied there.
I think it would be easier to call out the NYT on the lies they printed about the President. I can name 4 or 5 right this second.
