2020 Presidential Race

Apparently I'm irrelevant.

Please forgive my focus on the subject of this thread. I got some fellow calling me a communist, while I was trying to be like Sgt. Joe Friday.

The funny part is they aren't actually "native" Americans either; they just immigrated here earlier than the people who turned the place into a real country rather than a tribal "paradise". Maybe we should just settle on "Fractious Factions".
Now you're really splitting hairs.

If we follow that logic, doesn’t that make us all descended from the first Africans?

This is a terrible perspective. Hope it’s sarcasm.

Why is that? Look around the world at the trouble spots and the third world countries. The common denominator is tribalism. I don't think races, sects, ethnicities, religions, etc are different in their intelligence, but I do think a culture of tribalism that almost seems ingrained is the reason a lot of cultures can't seem to develop. So, no, it's not sarcasm except for the word choice - just a hard look at why the third world and descendants are still third world.

Speak for yourself. 23&Me says I'm Neanderthal and no Sub-Saharan (or whatever) anywhere in my DNA. EFG
I did the Ancestry DNA test and I'm more English than the English are. They don't do the Neanderthal test, or they didn't when I took it a few years ago.

Well I haven’t done the chromosome workup, but being half Sicilian and half Scotch-Irish I know all I need to know about that.

The Patel cartels that own hotels aren't Indians, they're Pakistani. I used to work with one of their offshoots that decided to make it on his own and go into engineering. He didn't last long.
When I was in school at UT there was one kid from India in my class who was always asking to see my homework, and one Iranian who drove a Lamborghini.

When I try doing ancestry, everybody was already here and no link back to another country. My dad's side I can trace back to the revolutionary war including bounty land in WV. My mother's side keeps hitting a dead end at the great great grandparent level. Not that it matters at this point ...

Mixing Scots-Irish and Sicilian would seem risky business since both are known for being a little hard to control.

The reason why some countries are post-industrial, industrial or pre-industrial is more complex than I care to delve into today, but I can assure you it’s not due to “tribalism.” That’s not what I was referring to anyway.

Implying that white people from Europe came and made this land a “real country” means that you’re ok with genocide as a means to an end.

Did you have either Dr Soni for math while at UT? Seems like every calculus or other higher level math course I had was taught by either Mr or Mrs Dr Soni.

Interesting take, but no.

Not having to chuck spears at wildlife in my opinion would qualify as a step up, but maybe you don't see it that way?
