Let's just wait to find out exactly why she was shot and wasn't because some Capitol Hill PD member got a little scared behind the trigger and accidentally let something fly. And let's face facts here, not a single damn thing they did other than enter the People's House without an invitation was violent today.
Hurting our Republic for years to come? You really want to get me ****ing started on how much damage has been done by the Democrats in the last four years to our international image? How about a ****ing nonstop investigation of Trump for bull ****, made up reasons the media paraded around for years and never apologized for? How about the anarchy in the streets of major cities last year where our President was called ineffective one moment for allowing it to happen then a tyrant for sending in federal LEOs to sort things out? Or the utterly childish ways everyone in Congress have been acting?
Don't talk to me about hurting our Republic. Both ****ing sides are guilty of that and don't even think they aren't.
Yeah, I can laugh at what happened today. Because, quite frankly, it's been four years coming. The right has been demonized, chided, smacked down, been called every name in the book, beat down and still never fought back.
They did today in a pretty peaceful way. And it was pretty damn mild compared to what they could have done. Even the broadcasters while clutching their pearls said "looks like they're in on a tour or something." The Capitol very well could have been a smoking hole right now had people actually gotten their dander up. I'm glad they didn't because the fallout over this is going to be bad enough as it is.
They misbehaved in public, big ****ing deal. It's a hell of a lot better than we've seen in the last year out of some groups. Yeah, I can laugh at the Viking dude standing at the Senate podium. Yeah, I can crack jokes about someone stealing Pelosi's liquor. Sure, I can make fun of liberals going out of their ****ing minds in a hypocritical rage over conservatives deciding to voice their opinions today.
Deal with it.
