2020 Presidential Race

For one thing, your info is inaccurate... most of my posts in the "fine people" thread yesterday were about Antifa and how some posters (Bigun and hog88) were misusing a term. They were calling them "fascists" when they are "anarchists". That obviously, has nothing to do with Donald Trump.

Now, if you don't like my posts? Put me on ignore.
I actually worded it very purposefully:

You posted 24 posts in less than 14 hours since posting this that were in some way about Trump

You were intently discussing Antifa in a discussion about Trump supposedly (eye roll) calling some of them "good people".

And I love your posts, else I wouldn't have gone back and counted the amount of Trump-obsession you post around here while whining about his self-obsession. If I ignored you, I would have missed the huge humber of your posts while you complain about the huge number of his tweets.

If I ignored you, what would I have to laugh about?

I'm not in favor of violence or bloodshed, but I think the country is in desperate need of some kind of revolution. Partisanship has found its way into every nook and cranny of government, including areas that were never meant to be political. We have lifelong Congressmen and women that build networks of influence and large power bases. The system is corrupt and in its current state, I don't think it can be fixed. Large scale change is needed and if we continue with the current system, they will never come.

Violent revolution means 10s of millions dead, a totalitarian regime for those who survive, and the death of the American experiment that has been and will be again a shining city on a hill for all the world.

If we accept the degradation of our rights because people will die fighting to get them back, then the American experiment is over already.

Put the propaganda down. What rights have you lost, exactly? If you hate America so much maybe you should leave instead of destroying it for the rest of us.

You should reread my post and ask yourself whether or not I called for a violent revolution. Then read the writings of our founding fathers about rights and whether we should be willing to fight/die for them. Then consider whether someone may love the country more if they're willing to fight for it and its principles.

Then get over yourself.

I’m all for the necessary fight.

A civil war at this point is an unnecessary fight.

My only point. You disagree?

They are both.

I'm not sure that I disagree with that point. I am sure that that wasn't your only point.

America was founded on a violent revolution and a totalitarian regime wasn't the result. So, I'm unwilling to allow you that (now ghost) point.

I don't consider the writings of the founding fathers, urging America to take up arms to protect their freedoms as needed, to be propaganda. So, I refuse to award you that (now ghost) point either.

As for having told me to leave. lulz

Switch to decaf.

Not what I’m talking about at all. I’m talking about violent ideologically driven revolutions of the 20th Century: Russia, China, Cambodia.

Why is this about what you're talking about all of a sudden?

It's about what Weezer was talking about, which is what I'm talking about, which is what the founding fathers were talking about, which is what caused the bloody, violent revolution that created the American experiment, which was the light on a hill, and explicitly NOT a totalitarian regime.

But in any event, at least now we're beyond the fiction about an "only point".

Maybe just a misunderstanding of multiple lines going in the same conversation then. Apologies. It seems I saw disagreement where there was none. Exactly what I want to avoid if I can. I’ll get my coffee before I chime in next time.

I'm guilty all too often. If you were in Chattanooga, coffee would be on me. (Not literally hopefully... Lol)

Where is the “ words matter “ crowd ? I mean surely they’ve seen this right ?
Words only matter when we dont like those using the words.

Biden exhibits inherent racism with his gaffe. Either he is using the term poor as a substitute for black or he really believes (even though he tries to hide it) that black kids are a step behind white kids.

I think he’s losing his mental faculties ( which is just natural ) . I find the lack of comments from the words matter crowd very telling knowing that we would be 10 pages deep in a new thread if it had been Trump instead of Biden .
