2020 Presidential Race

Not quite the same. In a recession thousands maybe hundreds of thousands will lose their jobs and homes. I'm pretty sure that out of those hundreds or more will succumb to drugs and alcohol and families will be destroyed and the drugs and alcohol will take many more lives than your random not guilty death row inmate.

You are no different the Hunder. Same stripes just different colors.

For the record, "Judicial Watch" is by their own self-description, "a conservative foundation". By the descriptions of others, they are an ultra-conservative troll organization that files FOIA lawsuits to investigate claimed misconduct by government officials, who are always Democrats.

A person cannot, with any credibility, suggest that Russia's campaign of influence on social media did not impact the way anyone voted, but then claim that Google's algorithm did. Such beliefs are not consistent with each other. Either voters are influenced by what they read on the internet, or they are not. It's not a "yes" in the case of Google searches, but a "no" in the case of Facebook memes and fake news stories.

Trump political strategy 101

Tweet out a ridiculous and false story.
Minions spread the story on social media.
Grab some headlines.
Rabble and deplorables gets sufficiently roused.
Story quickly buried and forgotten.
Rinse.

He is an exceptional poster who I greatly admire. He simply believes that "racist" animus, comes from a person's deliberate ill-will; not from a few misstatements.

How convenient. Instead of using actual racism as the rule, BB85 can simply assign whatever motive to a statement he wishes.

Thanks for helping me articulate exact the point I wanted to make.

That's possible... but what you are describing would more likely be a depression. Economic downturns are a phase of the business cycle (expansion, peak, contraction and trough). Following a peak (that we are currently having), the economy typically enters into a correction which is characterized by a contraction where growth slows, employment declines and pricing pressures subside. The slowing ceases during the trough and it's at that point the economy has hit a bottom from which the next phase of expansion will begin. It's all cyclical. The correction must happen... it's just a question of how long it lasts, as to whether or not it becomes what is known as a "recession" (a fall in GDP in two successive quarters).

It's really not as big a deal as some of you make it... it's just all part of the normal cycle. Would it be bad for Trump politically, right before an election? Yes... because the economy is all he has.

You must have been immune from previous recessions. While I was never "laid off", I worked with hundreds of people that were. I saw a lot of co-workers have their life ruined. Mostly it was their own fault by spending too much, but none the less, sad just the same.

I sell home equity loans... and depend heavily on commissions. My income has been hit hard by a recession and the sub-prime mortgage crisis and the housing crash. I'm just saying that it's a part of the normal cycle. Not the end of the world.

If you're too stupid to realize what is about to slap you in the face it certainly is. Unfortunately way too many people think the good times will roll forever and continue spending money like there is no tomorrow.

Quickly buried. Man the MSM really does suck at investigative journalism.

That guy acts like a clown. It was a "town hall" style forum, which was meant to be limited in participation, hence the venue. Now, Booker may indeed be drawing small crowds to his rallies, but this particular event, had exactly what was needed.

You gotta admit, where have you seen him with thousands?
