I'd starts Simms honestly even though I'm not generally a fan of switching up roles...but its a one game season for the championship...Bednar threw 97 Saturday so 3 days rest...Macleod only 30 something Monday so both of their top 2 starters could pitch at least a couple of innings

They better throw Sims to stifle Vandy early. Vandy’s offense is one of the youngest in the nation. Make their heads spin a bit. Either team with an early lead will be deadly, as the pitching is so top-level.

Vandy has Rocker, McElvain (sp), Murphy, and Maldonado ready to go. State has Bednar and Sims ready to go.

I have a feeling it will be 2-1 or 1-0. Albeit, both teams have collapsed in the first two games on the mound.

Honestly would be spectacular to see it go into extras.

Extra innings would be nice if it were two teams I didn’t care about. BUT since it’s Vandy I’d like a replay of yesterday!

It would be spectacular to see Vandy get beat, by one run or 30.

Eh. I know it’s a UT site. It would be nice to see MSU get its first natty ever. The players on Vandy are a lot cooler and nicer in my experience (as limited as it maybe). It’s actually comical how shy some of their team is. Probably has a lot to do with their failure to hit on a big stage actually.

MSU’s players have had a sense of entitlement that is unparalleled in the SEC, even when considering LSU and Arkansas. It’s like Alex Bregman is their cultural leader, and even his teammates at LSU hated him. Rowdey is probably the only guy on their team I would hangout with outside of the field.

The Tennessee players I’ve played with or against are nice as well.

FWIW, I don’t have first-hand experience with the entire team. Just anecdotes from hanging with, playing with/against guys, and picking up mindsets/approaches/attitudes.

Also, Alex Bregman was/is a menace to society. Dude had a challenge at LSU to **** as many girlfriends of his teammates as possible to prove his alpha status. He was not well-liked but respected for his play on the field. I actually heard his off-the-field antics were the reason the Braves didn’t take him first overall.
