I have no specific comments about Lady Vols recruiting. Just a general observation about some things. Don't fret over ratings because they are often times, not always (especially for truly elite players) off. I like Prospects Nation final post-All Star rankings. But their preseason ratings are kind of suspect and have a "tail wags the dog" element seen in ND, Alabama, USC, Michigan football recruiting in the late 1980's and early 90's. Having watched a lot of the FIBA Under 16 games there is no way Amari Deberry is the #1 prospect in New Jersey at this point. She's a project with athleticism. There is absolutely no way Saylor Poffenbarger is top 6 over the likes of Verhulst or Citron. It's the UConn factor. And I know that this forum has posters that rush to these types of posts like worker termites to a breach in the hive. But its not something UConn fans on The Boneyard didn't notice. Especially in regard to the ludicrous Deberry vs Breanna Stewart comparisons. It's no fault of the young ladies. They don't rate themselves. But keep in perspective these things are less reliable than football ratings.
