How many games does Ole Miss need to win to make The Big Dance ? If the Rebels win 2 in the SEC Tourney, I think they get in, maybe as one of the First Four, but still in

You must not have seen them take the hottest team in the SEC right now, Arkansas, down to the wire. A&M will handle Vandy.
No, I did not notice how well they played against the Hogs, I just knew they lost, just like they did to Vandy, just like I said they would

Texas A&M didn't play any games from January 31st to March 2nd. I suspect that was due more to embarrassment than COVID-related problems. They suck bad.

Not as bad but Jamie Dixon didnt find greener pastures either

Dixon is a great example of being careful what you wish for, as fans. He felt some heat and took the offer from his alma mater to reset himself. Went to the NCAAT 11 of 13 years including his last one at Pitt. In his later years, he didn’t win much in the NCAAT, and fans got restless. My guess is that they would take him back. He’s made more NCAAT’s at TCU than Pitt since he left.

It’s been a good start for their chances with Xavier and Louisville losing. Probably at least 2 wins.

So looking like Florida on Friday. Hard to beat a team back to back. However, it’s nice that our boys don’t have to play the day before like Florida does.

Then we played Okie State and played the dumbest basketball game I’ve ever seen.

People point out 2011 as a disappointment but it made sense. They found out Pearl would be fired and everybody went into the tank. That 2009 team should have been much better.

Yep, and we had the ball with 7.2 second left, down 2 and I just knew we would go down and someone would throw up a 3 that would brick and we'd lose......and that's what we did. Watch the final play, all 5 Vols are out past the 3 point line.

LMAO my god that execution was worse than I remembered. Tabb plays horrible defense, Smith isn’t positioned right to cover a pick and roll. The play is weirdly designed for Smith to dribble up the court. Hopson starts running towards Smith too late. Smith doesn’t hand the ball off. My god.

You can say what you want but we’ve had plenty of disappointing moments during the Pearl era.

Hell, some of his teams should have gone farther in the NCAA Tournament.

The 2008 team should have been been at the very least an E8 team if not a F4 team, not blown out in the S16, which they had trouble getting to that after Butler took them to OT in the R32. Everyone points back to the Memphis game but the team actually pretty much peaked at that game.

The flex offense he ran always seemed way too simple. We would come down the court and run some version of the same play every time (which I don't think is too unusual but usually you're running variations after some point). Half the possessions seemed to grind out for 25 seconds, then end with a ball screen for a guard as the shot clock wound down. Pearl really wants to use the 4 as a perimeter threat, which was not as common over a decade ago as it is now, but we never really had a strong distance shooter at that position.
