Kasick decommitted. Probably a good decision on his part. His velo was low 80’s most of the year and didn’t jump a whole lot.

Last scout I saw on him was 78-83 with his fastball.

Sounds like to me TV is waiting until the draft comes to drop the bad news of we just didn't lose any many guys to the draft as we expected to about 20 guys

I would like to think that he's not acting in a way contrary to how they operated at Mizzou, TCU or Arkansas, when he was at those stops.

Certainly, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not sure exactly what you are driving at here...but my take on it is simple.

Whatever it takes, short of violating rules. I'm tired of going to Hoover without them.

Whatever we have been doing for the last 20 years or so hasn't worked.

I agree

It's ain't going to be pretty on the humanistic side but it's the only way this program has a shot to win I am afraid

Hopefully they(CTV and staff) will do their level best to get guys to a place where they can compete and play. I hope they do their best in that regard, really do.

If I was sophomore I would jump regardless of interviews. Too much ego from a recruiter playing head coach.

I highly doubt players like Pete and Andre jump ship. It seemed like this staff had the guys playing hard towards the end of the year. They aren’t doing that if they don’t like the coaches.

The players know exactly where they stand. Just because nobody has heard anything doesn’t mean it Hasn’t happened.

You are like everyone else on here, you can have an opinion. If TV did not have an ego I would be surprised. He will be a very good head coach for us and the sophmore's and freshmen who have played will be back I strongly suspect. They know what is expected and helped pull the wagon somewhat out of the ditch. Those juniors who may want to jump to MLB will eventually stay as well. JMHO!:)

There is no chance all the guys that played will be back. Those that do come back likely will be taken off $ imo. I'd put the number at no more than 5 hitters and 5 pitchers will be on the 35 man roster come next February

I want my coach to have an ego. Why would you want a home economics teacher for a baseball coach? That’s what we had for the past 6 years.

My bad! I was actually talking about those that started and played often and pretty well!:) Are you including the Sophs that played often as well?

I am including all of them.

I said 10 I will up that to 12-15 total of this years roster are on the 35 man next February. At least 20 new guys

Andre moving to 2nd would probably be the best for his professional career as well. I could see Andre playing 3rd as well. Charleston will move to the outfield probably. CTV is here to win games he has some very good infielders committed Guilbe, Ornelas, Martinez, Pence are really good. Guilbe and Ornelas are top 3 round guys. I don’t get how it’s a knock on the head coach for being such a good recruiter and getting the 6th ranked class in here.He also made sure he had depth in case some get drafted. That’s why you see such a high number of Shortstops. All these shortstops can essentially play anywhere on the infield. This goes on in most of the top programs in the country. Attrition happens between a combination of kids transferring, kids getting there scholi reduced or cut, kids getting drafted, kids in the signing class going juco instead of enrolling. All of these things happen. What is so bad about a new coach raising the level of talent and recruiting over kids he didn’t recruit in the 1st place? This isn’t Rec league where there are no cuts in everyone plays this is the SEC.

Depth will surely be there this next season. CTV was making sure of that last year, we will have a total war this year at all positions. I personally think ALip will be at 3rd eventually,,, we will have the incoming jucos here and some freshmen SS, Remember ,, also he brought in the Miami SS last semester, he’ll be ready to go in the fall. I personally don’t think Ornelas will be here. Just watch Monday’s Draft. If he goes at anytime Monday ,, that team will know that he is draftable and singable.. they won’t use a draft spot on him that high not knowing if he is going to sign . IMO. Also, I think we will be a lot better this next year as long as we are not the youngest team in the power 5 again.
