2022-2023 Season Ticket Prices

I don’t know. If I gave UT $25,000 in 1986 instead of using it to buy the Microsoft IPO, I’d be pretty pissed that I don’t have $40 million in MSFT securities plus $5,000/week in dividends while UT tells me that the donation now has zero residual benefits.
Once again, if you thought buying lifetimes tickets was somehow going to turn into $40m you need help.

Stokely, Turner Field, and the Georgia Dome didn’t even survive 30 years as sports venues. They’re probably already making plans to demolish the TBA… because the UT Athletic Department knows how to spend.
Question…if they did this, would you still complain? Or it would be ok since the seats were for TBA and not a new arena?

Simply putting $25k into the S&P 500 in 1986 would be worth about $1.2 million today. Microsoft is just another solid example as their IPO was in the same time frame as the construction of the TBA.

The point keeps going WAY over your head. You and UT are putting zero value on a donation made a generation ago. The seats weren’t even free… it was instead an opportunity to continue to purchase them at a reasonable price. Danny is front and center giving the big eff u to past donors.

Earlier this week during hoops media day, Tennessee released their pricing for season tickets. One interesting note is that Tennessee announced that those prices were just for next year. The reason is that Danny White and his staff are doing some major research and investigating the possibilities for some renovations which would enhance amenities in the arena. One idea that’s even been thrown out is moving the basketball offices to Pratt Pavilion and taking where the offices are now and turning that into a premium club area.

No doubt part of the plan is to reduce seating to make the supply-demand equation work in favor of the money hungry AD. Just selling existing seats and living within their means should be enough. One of the main reasons for building the 25,000 seat TBA was because 12,700 seats at Stokely weren’t enough to ACCOMMODATE THE FANS. Raising the maximum amount of money is now the overriding priority.

Didn’t have 75” HD TVs back then with every game being broadcasted.

Yes, I said that…and you said that’s about what you’re paying now.
My bad we are paying $1750 for both seats total. I was talking to my brother about this and he said we have until next July to figure this out. He is right and I will think on this another time.
Have a great time at the game today. Back to full capacity!!!!!
