2022 NCAA Regionals and SUPER REGIONALS Discussion Thread (excluding Knoxville Super Regional)

I hope Maryland wins and gives that ump a Jordan Beck special on the way off the field.

That call was garbage, they went over it on squeeze play and the only way you can call that is if he gets hit by the ball (he didn't) or if he intentionally interfered with the play. Which considering the throw was already going 6 feet to the left of first base before he got to the bag it seems hard to interfere. That was 100% just blue wanting to insert himself into the game.

This rule is BS:

1. Running lane violation – When the batter runner is advancing to first base he/she is required to run in foul territory. In the event the runner physically or visually interferes with the throw, catch, or the defense, over or in fair territory, the runner will be guilty of interference and called out.

How else is the runner supposed to run to 1B considering the fact that the bag is in fair territory?

If that’s the case then every runner in the history of the game should be out lol

Getting physically hit is not a requirement according to the rule. All he has to do is "visibly impair" the throw

He didn’t impair the throw though. The runner did absolutely nothing wrong in that situation. You can’t reward a team for poor positioning and an inaccurate throw.

I'm just here to say how pleased I am that the vandi bois were eliminated today, as well as the swamp lizard people. Here's wishing b the cow poles had it in them to slay the little pig people, but it doesn't look that way.
