2022 Recruits

this has to be the most ignorant s*** I just read.....Every player on the Lady Vol team are cisgender women and you f***in know that....they may not conform to traditional ways in the way they appear or their sexuality but that doesnt make them any less of a women

We would get to see a lot more dunks. I say let them play, no pregame pat downs by the refs needed.

What ?

I am serious, if they claim to be a female then I support them playing. Do you not?

are you referring to our current ladies? because if you are they dont "claim to be a female" they are a women...forget the fact the NCAA doesnt even allow transgender women to compete with cis gender women

and this is the last id like to speak of this matter.

Of course I’m not referring to our current female players.

can any of 21 recuits play this year? ucla and unconn got players emroling this year. and some teams do to. it would nice to have guard to help or a forward so matra could play some more at guard or wing.

Justine....The girl with "the flying ponytail".....She shoots regularly at least 5 feet behind the current 3 point line.....She shoots from the Justine Line....She will destroy UConn. And she loves the Lady Vols!!!! This is 2018 footage...She is taller now, and has a deeper range.

In this video, they run the picket fence at their opponents, with Justine slamming the gate shut with about a 30 footer.....It is shown at the end of video...The Picket Fence! Got to love it!!!!

She starts from the chest but has the very high release that you like to see. I see her being a terrific part of an evolving team that Kellie is building.

Put Justine with Karoline, Sara, and then add Madi, we are talking about basketball dominance.....Coach Kellie is building a 3 point terror team to attack the league.

Keep in mind that was 2.5 years ago.

Her coach and father say she is now 6'4" and is easily popping from anywhere she wants to shoot...She is unlimited.

There is a legend coming our way....The girl with "the flying ponytail" will be the one young girls will dream to be like, and there will be a lot of new Tennessee babies named Justine......

Very excited about this young lady and all the 2021 signees. Great group of players and people!

The recruiting style I am seeing is shorter on the perimeter with more speed and length and size at the wings and post positions. Of the players this staff has recruited thus far you have Salary, Miles, Wynn, Grand Transfer Walker smaller quicker guard than we've had before. Striplin, Puckett, Suarez, Darby and Pissott versatile wing players that can shoot from the perimeter. Also undersized power player Green which I think would be helping us right now because like the others better knowledge of the system. We need another versatile power player in 2022 and quick three point shooting two guard. What I am seeing is a team that is going to be very tough to guard with everyone being able to shoot from the perimeter and also players that can drive to the basket. Smith and Patterson two post players we are recruiting are very quick for their size but also able to play the power game. Weathers could be that three point two guard that we need or a couple more we are recruiting. Looking good hope to see some of these players commit to us in the next few months I think everything is going very well.

Weathers would be the perfect fit at the guard position....She shoots the deep 3 ball and is a lane driving fiend....Plus, the young lady is a baller; tough as day old grits.

If we can get another power forward to go along with this magnificent team that Kellie is forming, we are talking multiple national titles....Multiple baby!!!!

It would be nice for this thread to regularly talk/report on 2022’s we are still recruiting to go with Pissott like Smith and Patterson.

It’s a small point regarding your assessment but we did not add quickness or athleticism at all in 2020 beyond Salary as a likely role player. Was Walker injured before we recruited because she is limited at this stage (though not to Lou Brown level)? Miles is very short but quick. Hopefully she can play because we desperately need a plus PG. Her ranking doesn’t inspire confidence though possibly due to lack of outside shooting. I agree with you we need an athletic, get your own shot G in 22 since Burrell will not be here forever. Neither will Horsten.

Walker was needed to plug the hole in the dam at PG. I would have prefered EH-O from ETSU. She's like Walker with better range; but she had to sit a year.

That first year is always tough on a new coach and staff. 2021 was a lot better and 2022 off to a great start.
