I heard (or recall) lost a couple this past summer. I assumed 2022 but it could be 2023 or beyond. I think that it was around 1:40 on Wednesday (not certain though… might have been earlier in the 3rd hour). It’s recorded and can be replayed at tonybasilio dot com .
I think I had heard a few weeks earlier that the athletic department changed course and developed a plan to support N-I-L. They were slow to initiate a support program and a couple of basketball recruits dropped TN. Doesn’t mean tgat they later came back into play.
The only deals that I’m familiar with are Fulk/Pals and a football player doing a radio spot for Crown (?) Cleaners.
The target list has largely stayed the same as far as priorities go…Tennessee isn’t going to use NIL in a similar way as some schools are (Memphis)…I don’t think that’s really on White and I don’t think Barnes really cares. Also “losing a recruit” would be different from losing a “commitment”.
It’s not a far fetched basilioism that CRB was not happy with Danny Boy White.
Wait, you mean there’s more than 2 UT athletes with deals? No way!!!!There are a lot more NIL deals, for example:
More than 50 Tennessee Vols football players sign exclusive NIL agreement | wbir.com
Velus "Krystal" Jones
NIL Drew Gilbert “Bat Flip King” Shirt Sponsored by BreakingT
What is a requirement? You said only guy with a deal is fulk, I was saying that’s not true.
Well now you’re aware of 50+What you just wrote is NOT TRUE. I said that I’m only aware of the Fulk and dry cleaner deals. I didn’t say those are the only ones.
And a “requirement” is that a top 5 or 10 recruit must have a lucrative N-I-L opportunity to commit to any school.
Well now you’re aware of 50+
Chandlers definitely doesn’t compare to what the 2 dudes at Memphis got, not sure what others in the Top 10 have gotten.
Not sure what your first part means. Fed Ex appears to be willing to pony up a lot more guaranteed money up front for Memphis NIL than any other company I have seen. The entire financial package at TN includes long term opportunities not put into written agreements. Memphis should have those as well with companies like FedEx.
I’m not aware of the 50+ until I click the link. The only endorsement that I’ve noticed is the football player hawking dry cleaning. I can’t even remember his name after hearing the spot about 6x. A DL I think. I’ve not seen a Fulk TV spot, but I’m not near a Pals.
See bolded. Keyword.Ok? It’s not as if he had a commitment set, it had long been mentioned (by you even) that he might be waiting/working on a UK offer, no?
Well he was just here for another OV, so I would say as it pertains to the original point by Basilio it hasn’t “cost us” Wallace.See bolded. Keyword.
Yes, he MIGHT have been waiting on that UK offer. Or...he MIGHT have been turned off by Tennessee's alleged poorly organized NIL plans and preparedness. We don't know.
I'm just offering up a possible, logical explanation as to why he may have slowed things down a bit when it seemed he may be our next commitment. The difference in NIL possibilities between UK and TN might also be he was so patient with waiting on the UK offer.
And there may be absolutely nothing to it. Just because I offered the suggestion/possibility doesn't mean I believe it or that I'm perpetuating it.
I know, it's shocking. One thing I will say is that we could probably do a better job of publicizing (bragging about) NIL deals so people are more aware.

As for the 2nd, I think as a whole the NIL isn’t what people thought/had in mind…it’s not like I can sit here and tell you about guys from Arkansas, Kentucky etc that I have seen on TV and am well aware that they have a deal in place.
You're still missing the point I was making. It might have cost us an EARLIER commitment from Wallace.Well he was just here for another OV, so I would say as it pertains to the original point by Basilio it hasn’t “cost us” Wallace.
Grant Frerking, a walk on WR, is the leader of the on3 NIL coverage and assistance thing. Likely the biggest one and most compatible with athletes right nowThere are a lot more NIL deals, for example:
