2022 TN Forward Brandon Huntley-Hatfield

Weirdly enough, the ESPN box score doesn't do +/- for college like they do in the NBA, so I'm not sure. It wouldn't surprise me though. He did nothing but kill us all game. He missed layups on two different fast breaks, bricked a couple of threes, and took that horrible final three point shot at the end of the game that didn't even touch the rim. His defense wasn't great either.

It might have been the worst game a Vol played this year. Anytime he came in the Vols momentum completely halted. He’s a fine player but he’s just not a good fit on this team.

If Bailey isn't hitting from deep, he's useless on the court. Can't defend. Can't create for others. Might be the worst finisher on the team. He's also a deer in headlights while in transition.
You're absolutely right about him finishing at the rim. How many fast breaks this year has Bailey taken the ball straight on at the rim rather than going to the left or right in attempting the lay in? It's been maddening!

Classified as a PF. Highlights didn't really tell me much about his game. Is a physical/banger type or more of a finesse player?

Go to utsports.com and click on the PDF box score. It is usually about 1-2 hours after the game.

Thanks, I found them. When you go to the schedule you can click Box Score or Recap. If you click Box Score you then have the option to click View PDF. If you do that you get a PDF box score but it doesn't include the +/- stats. To get the +/- you have to click Recap, then scroll down to PDF Box Score and click that. It's a completely different box score and includes the +/-. Odd that they wouldn't have the same box score on both links.

What type team would he be a better fit on?

Thanks. Guess we're still looking for a banger/rebounder/intimidator down low.
Well, like I said, he likes to believe he is a 3, but in reality, he can do those things you mention and will be asked to do those things, just with an option of stepping out to take the longer range shot, as well. We aren't bringing him in to float out on the perimeter.

It’s way more important that he defends well on the post than it is for him to have a great post up game, though I think Johnson has shown how powerful a good post up game can be even if you’re nominally a 2/3.
