2023 Recruiting

Dumb statements like this is why I can’t take this forum serious. If anybody in their right mind think any school or coach in college didn’t offer Rickea Jackson the same kind of NIL they offered a 4-star HS PG then there’s nothing to say.
I mean, Rickea Jackson only led the SEC in scoring. My goodness, anything any school offered ANY player during recruitment Rickea would’ve had the same deal or a better one if that’s what she wanted.
This stuff is pathetic.

This is just a discussion. It's not meant to be serious.

This wait is excruciating. Less than a month before our first game, thank goodness. Did anyone last year foresee the team we have this year? Places to recruit players: high school, junior college, internationally, portal. Not worried about next year, no telling what our team will look like. Come on October 30!

The reason it shouldn't be considered dum is because i made an opinion the way you stated it you are making it a fact when the truth is neither one of us knows the truth but you are making it as you know now that is dumb and RJ may have those accomplishments you stated but she would have been there for one year where as she might have Valez for multiple years now come back at me with your response

This board is just like my side job uber on weekends. I've already asked same questions...why is it that some passengers tends to have issues with driver when it's just simple...come in, shut up if u don't have to talk and case close.. Here, some ppl takes it so serious..fighting each other, insulting someone... I understand sometimes someone says dumb stupid stuff and I will just ignore it and move on... When u have that right like uber passenger to cancel if u don't like the car driver..& wait 4 another car..Finally, if u throw-up in my new 4RUNNER it's $500 😆 🤣 😂

Absurd comment. There are PLENTY of good coaches in America. I wanted UT to hire Banghart away from Princeton--smart, dynamic, dominated the Ivy League, ready for a move to the big-time, but she wasn't a former LV and so Fulmer ignored her and UNC hired her. I think Harper has gotten the train back on the track after Warlick sent the program plunging into a ravine--but we're still only going about half-speed. This year WILL be big. We've got to make a serious run in the NCAA. It's imperative.

Banhart hasn't done any better at NC than Harper has done at UT in the same number of years. What makes you think she was there for the taking when Fulmer was looking for a new coach?

I know she was.. She was still at Princeton when Warlick was let go. I actually wrote a female associate athletic director at UT--one responsible for women's basketball--and urged her and Fulmer to consider Banghart. She thanked me for my email--but of course they didn't consider her. It wasn't just Banghart's record at Princeton; I had seen a couple of videos of her talking about coaching and basketball and she was very impressive--smart, dynamic. At the time I had no idea if she was interested in moving to a bigger program--but she'd been at Princeton for at least several years (maybe longer), and I knew other schools would be interested in hiring her, if she wanted a bigger challenge. Turns out she did: Right around the time Fulmer hired Harper, I saw that UNC had hired Banghart. I don't know how she'll do at UNC, but she has recruited better than Harper--and she doesn't have 8 national titles and a big tradition to help her. I'm not anti-Harper--I like her and very much want her to succeed--but I thought it best for UT to go outside the program for a good coach. Fulmer's search, if you can call it that, was pretty superficial.

That's all very interesting, but it's spilled milk now. Let's all focus on this season. Build it and they will come.

We know, you wanted Banghart. Noted. You literally repeat yourself every two pages.

Kellie is 63 and 27 Banghart at NC us 52 and 34. She is playing another mini mi non conference schedule again this season.
I'm really not seeing what it is about her performance thus far at North Carolina that certain posters here are so enamored by. It can't be wins, it's not tough scheduling, and they haven't done better in the tournament than we have. We are also familiar now with Sania Rivers' experience dealing with them in the portal. Seems like the grass is always greener in other pastures for some folks.

Her calling NC State fans classless and that Duke was more relevant than State, after being run out of the gym when they played, tells me everything I need to know about Banghart. She may be a good coach, but I can’t stand her🤣

What was Sania Rivers experience?
