Thanks for the information that you left out of your first post about the Jersey girls ! I have never been there or anywhere close to sports in that area . I often wondered about Justine being a Jersey girl and why Tennessee ?
I do know about playing basketball and the kids and parents do get together and seem to migrate towards players who want to play with each other ! I have seen it , and lived it , and coached it ….. so my analysis of why kids that knew each other and wanted to play with each other just made logical sense.
The insenuation of something underhanded or illegal going on ….. . You won’t get an argument from me because I have seen this also . The Webb school has 4 players from Canada , two from Jersey , one from the Bahamas and Santo Domingo, plus several Tennessee girls !
Two have given verbals to colleges of their choice and I see four more Juniors that will play college ball ! The school has a lllooooonnnnnggg, history of academics and their graduates can qualify for any college! They have a newer coach and some new administrators so there maybe something there ? But I do enjoy watching them play! Sorry if I stepped on your toes but the statement that a Canadian bb player knew some players in New Jersey made sense to me ? As always JMO

There is a nice write up on Rosario in the newspaper Tennessean ! Parents both played basketball and watch her games when streaming is available in Dominican Republic.
Rosario has been named a finalist for division II A Miss Basketball finalist .
I watched the district finals and the referees were all over Webb calling touch fouls and charges every time the other players flopped on defense! It really makes me upset when you go to see specific players and the referees makes the game about the referees and the players are punished by having to ride the bench !
Summer and the Bahamas player did not play in the finals ( knee problems)? But the other school had already lost to Webb by 30+ during the season !!! Bree (from Canada) and Velez were all tournament and Velez voted MVP! I hope we can get the Rosario kid but I am hearing she is an Arizona lean ? Velez showed some better offense and is a good defensive player with good handles with dribbling the ball !
We could use both but we have eyes on others ? I did see Kelly at a game though?

Han Xu is in the W… I’m sure the other player is as well but I can’t tell you who she is but I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s been drafted.. many overseas players are drafted young

Possibly because of proximity but Brenda has definitely been focusing on other recruits hardcore in the DMV. i'm sure she has seen her because she has recruited some of her AAU teammates as well.

I keep hearing she is better than advertised and she doesn't even realize how good she can be. So i am expecting her coaches to take it up a leave on her and she may now be the focus on her teams which we will see how she responds to spring/summer ball with more elite teammates surrounding her.

They do have five scholarships to give for 2023. Looks like they are already fairly heavy in players that play her position. Plus there are a lot of players that do not like Brenda that much. We'll see how it plays out. For some reason I think Samuels has already committed to Tennessee probably totally wrong, but she seems to really be into our program. Harper is really silent on recruiting and any player committing publicly has to face a lot of negativity all the way up to signing day so some may choose to be silent for a long time before going public.
