2023 Recruiting

They do have five scholarships to give for 2023. Looks like they are already fairly heavy in players that play her position. Plus there are a lot of players that do not like Brenda that much. We'll see how it plays out. For some reason I think Samuels has already committed to Tennessee probably totally wrong, but she seems to really be into our program. Harper is really silent on recruiting and any player committing publicly has to face a lot of negativity all the way up to signing day so some may choose to be silent for a long time before going public.

I do think she’s really into Tennessee, but that Freese is slick. Hopefully, she makes Rocky Top her home.

Possibly because of proximity but Brenda has definitely been focusing on other recruits hardcore in the DMV. i'm sure she has seen her because she has recruited some of her AAU teammates as well.

I keep hearing she is better than advertised and she doesn't even realize how good she can be. So i am expecting her coaches to take it up a leave on her and she may now be the focus on her teams which we will see how she responds to spring/summer ball with more elite teammates surrounding her.

Been checking up on Collier and Rosario. We are recruiting them both and they both have offers. JMO Collier has the better overall game of the two. I like them both but think Collier can be a special player she has a perimeter shot that most bigs don't have and some very deceptive moves around the basket. Rosario seems to be totally a player that gets it done on the inside will need a bigtime point guard or other great passers to get her the ball so she can score. Collier is a lot more of a creator will be tough to guard at 6'5" because she don't have to score within five feet of the basket she has range out to the three point line. Would love to see them both become Lady Vols that is some depth in the post that most teams won't be able to match. Key will be gone so both could get their time on the court even as freshmen.

Do you know how long Tennessee has been recruiting her? An article posted in the 2024 recruiting thread has a Collier tweet from November '21 that lists a top ten that does not include Tennessee.

Don't know how long Maria is the one that said she has now added Tennessee. This was just known in the last week.

Qudence Samuels seems to like the video from Kellies halftime speech! Hope that’s a good sign.

This young lady would be a really good get and could start a stream-line of UT recruits. She seems to be way underrated and wasn't there like 4 or 5 little sisters pictured with her in the picture she took at UT? To watch video on her she almost gives off Angel Mcoughtry like vibes on how she moves on the court.

I dont think this will be much of a game imo you are talking about a group of middle schoolers/and madi vs a boat load of P5 players, this is a match up night mare for lakeway. I'm calling a blow out

Maryland already has three combo guards committed for 2023 so you wonder how many of those type players they want on their team. I know they lose a lot of guards, but with four players already committed to a class you doubt they want anymore guards.

Jackson only playing next season and Booker would come in the next year, but yes Booker is an elite that would have four years to play.
