What's the story on Blue Cain? I see hes dropping in ratings and his offer list looks pretty weak on 247, just not as good as originally thought?

According to Maxpreps, he is averaging
19.3 Points per game
3.0 assist per game
5.7 rebounds per game
and 3.0 steals per game

Seems like he is having a solid year. I guess we will see.

Athletic wing Jared Hall from Lebanon is another prospect who was in town for the win over Vanderbilt last Saturday. That trip was Hall’s second unofficial visit to Knoxville in the past month. It’s hard not to interpret that as a sign that Tennessee is making a strong impression on the big wing. Tennessee will host top-50 2023 prospect Chris Johnson from Mission City, Tx. on an official visit next weekend when Auburn comes to town.
After talking to 2023 prospect KC Jefferson following his official visit this last weekend there’s little doubt that Tennessee made a strong impression on the Texas prospect. It was the first official visit of the recruiting process for him, and while the four star guard is a long, long way from making a decision, the guess here is that the Vols will be a factor in this recruitment though I also don’t think you can discount distance. Four star 2023 point guard Aiden Holloway from the always loaded La Lumeire program in Indiana is another potential unofficial visitor for the Auburn game.

Apparently, Top 100, 4 star TE, Ethan Davis is going to try and play basketball at UT, also. Good luck to the kid, but if Malachai Wiseman couldn't play here, I doubt Davis can. Hope I'm wrong and he ends up being like Julius Peppers

I don’t think He would warrant much PT from Barnes as he seems very unlikely to play a kid who isn’t with the team for much of fall/winter. Unless he is just extremely gifted, which he might be.

I agree. Barnes simply will not play someone who isn't up to speed on his defense, and it usually takes his full-time players a lot of time to learn that defense. Davis might contribute by being a good practice player.

Makes me laugh, I remember all the folks saying how Wideman & Beckwith would play, it just doesn’t happen.

Yeah, I was one of those people. Not so much with Beckwith, but Wideman, definitely. He was mad athletic, 6'4 and was a 4 star in basketball. But hell, he didn't even last with the football team, so he there was no way he was going to work out with Barnes.
