I recall that post and thinking you had a chance to be right. I understood the original question was the impression of him when he signed. I’m calling Barbara Streisand on anyone saying ZZZ has not way exceeded signing day expectations.

To be fair you also questioned his ability to shoot from the perimeter at this level against more length, but yes, I meant it as a funny.

All good, I eventually noticed the smiley face after I quoted your post in the reply.

I did add a few qualifiers to that though. I stated if he continues to jump forward with his shot that it won't work well against SEC level defenders. He appears to have mitigated how far forward he jumps and he has also changed (I imagine CRB had a part in this) his release to a more vertical arm release with additional flexibility in his shooting wrist to make up for the arm position. It looks really really good.

I also stated I drew all of these comparisons off of one single highlight video I watched and that they may not actually be problems at all.

Like I said multiple times thereafter, I would be and am -extremely- happy to be proven wrong by this kid. Love watching his fire and gameplay. I'm sure we all agree with that. He's been a major factor for a top 25 team in the country. I don't think anyone had that in mind Year 1 and I'm beyond stoked that we're reshaping the view of his career with our favorite team!

That's really disappointing when big time prospects don't make it in, but even more so when you present the type of environment and atmosphere we did yesterday and a win, that's not always easy to duplicate. To me it feels like a missed opportunity.

Even if I play devil's advocate, let's just say hypothetically he were to visit next Sat at home vs ARK, even with Checker TBA it's gonna be hard to match that energy yesterday.

I don’t know, it’s a revenge game with a chance at either a one or two seed in the SEC tourney on the line. I imagine the environment will be every bit as good.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I fully expect the ARK game to be a big game. I expect a big time atmosphere and hopefully Checker TBA, turns out good and adds to the electricity.

It was more of a compliment to what yesterday was like.. plus the added Auburn hate and Bruce Pearl element and dancing on logo. I think alot of things fueled yesterday and it was amazing.

I hope next Saturday is the same or even better, cause I'm sure several of FB recruits will be there due to JR Day let alone potential BB recruits
