Interesting comments from Branham today. Seemed like he was going to commit soon.
"Justin Edwards is a 6-foot-7 wing out of Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Institute and makes for arguably the most well-rounded player in the entire 2023 class. He has good size for the position, is very skilled, has a high IQ, competes on both ends of the floor and consistently produces out on the floor.
He rebounds, defends, makes shots from three, can create his own shot off the dribble, passes and functions in a variety of different roles.
He's quickly risen to the top of the class and is down to seven schools: Auburn, the G League Ignite, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Tennessee and Villanova.
While he is down to seven, this is looking to be another two-team race between Kentucky and Tennessee. For several months now the Volunteers have been the team to beat after prioritizing him last summer and getting him on campus for an official visit.
However, Kentucky has quickly gained ground back on the Volunteers and have really tightened up this race after getting him on campus and honing in on the five-star prospect.
If the recruitment ended today, I'd put my money on Tennessee but Edwards isn't deciding in the near future and the Wildcats are gaining momentum heading into the summer."
Too early prediction: Tennessee
