On the recruiting front Tennessee should have a couple visitors on campus this month.
That will start next with with
J.P. Estrella who will be in town on an official visit during the week. Estrella (6-foot-10, 210 pounds) is originally from Maine and attends prep school in New Hampshire. He made it town during this past season for an unofficial visit with his mother, an indication that he has some serious interest in the Vols, especially now that he’s making a return trip.
Tennessee continues to pursue 2023 point guard
Aden Holloway hard. He’s tentatively expected to be in town for an unofficial visit in the next couple of weeks. He attends prep school in Indiana but is originally from Charlotte.
We mentioned big man
Mike Nwoku in this space a couple of weeks ago as someone the Vols were targeting in the ’23 cycle. Tennessee made that official this week by extending an offer.
Nwoku, who is originally from Canada, attend prep school in North Carolina last year but looks headed to California for his senior year.
We had expected North Carolina shooting guard
Freddie Dillone in for an official visit at the end of the month. That still may happen but at the moment that visit is up in the air. That’s no comment on the interest of either party, just a timing issue.
