2023 Target List

Dude on the bottom is a 247 insider, who typically is spot on with info. Obviously what Barnham said is concerning, but we will be in it until the end.
I love how UK has a ”slight lead heading down the stretch” according to this guy. How do you even begin to interpret that statement? The need to be noticed and “right” still very much alive.

It had been assumed for months that Tennessee was his leader, he was updating that to say that Kentucky has taken the lead now heading down the stretch…doesn’t mean it’s over or can’t change, but that according to him Kentucky has a slight edge.

Him, Demary and Carr are 3 guys probably not talked about enough on here…Dilione is a guy that if we could get something done sooner rather than later it would benefit us, he’s still somewhat of a sleeper, likely ends up around 5 star status.
I really really like Dilione’s game. Missing out on Holloway becomes way less noticeable if you get Dilione.

I understand that is what he’s saying. My post is really about how in the world does a pundit make a statement like that. Recruiting is not a horse race. There are literally dozens of factors involved in college recruiting. How does he segment everything involved to make his determination? My comment was really just observational.

Recruiting is quite literally a horse race where you don’t know where the finish line is. When you’re dealing with 17 year olds, the slightest thing can propel you to a lead on any given day. If you’re Tennessee, you gotta hope that your long term relationships and hard recruiting will give you the boost you need to surge and win in the end.

Take all 3.

Demary at PG
Dillione at the 2
Carr at SF

boom lol

On Justin Edwarda…Travis Graf, UK’s rivals guy, says it’s too close as of now to change his pick (currently has UT) but that Kentucky has the momentum of late…said he’s hearing an announcement Monday July 25th is the plan.
Says yesterday that Kentucky has taken the lead. Says today it’s too close to call.
sounds like Kentucky guys just trying to blow smoke IMO. He may very well pick UK, but I have a feeling they’re just BS’ing.

Two different guys. One named Travis Branham (yesterday) on 247, the other is Travis Graf (today) on Rivals. Both UK insiders.

The guy yesterday was Branham, not Graf…unless you saw him say something I missed.

Duke: “(Jon Scheyer) loves my game. He just loves my passing ability; the way I shoot the ball and the way I move. I’m a very mobile big man and he just loves my overall game. I have a great relationship with all of them over there.”

Iowa: “I like the way that they develop their big men. Coach Fran McCaffery, coach Eldridge the whole staff over there does a great job. Luke Garza is one of their most recent ones and he was one of the most dominant players in all of college basketball. The way they develop those guys is really attractive to me.”

Kansas: “I’ve been to Kansas. My whole team was able to go over there, and we had a blast. I got to see the National Championship trophy and all of the facilities. It was a really great environment. They really love my overall game and I see coach Norm Roberts almost everywhere I go.”

Marquette: “Definitely the coaching staff and the facilities stood out and the program in general. I liked the whole place. I’ve had a great relationship with their coaching staff for a while now and it was awesome to visit there.”

Syracuse: “I’ve been to Syracuse unofficially. They were my first offer. I really appreciated that, and they were the ones that really started this domino effect and they’ve been there since day one. I have a great relationship with the whole entire staff over there and I’ve been there a ton and want to get back down there again.”

Tennessee: “It’s the SEC and I’ve had a relationship with them for a long time now. They were like my third offer, so I’ve talked to them throughout this whole entire process. I went on an unofficial visit there, loved what I saw so I had to come back for seconds on an official.”
-24/7

Says he will do a few more visits in the fall and commit before his HS season starts.

Interesting that Carr who is a similar position/type as Edwards has his OV set to start on the 25th, same day Edwards is supposedly going to announce.
