2024 Opponents

And the reason why they only did ‘24 is because then Texas and Oklahoma will be officially voting members then, plus there coule be more schools added to league between now and then.
At least two Clemson maybe and Georgia Tech that's who I would like To see,but I prefer ETSU and APSU lol

Doesn't look much more difficult than normal. Bring it.
Agreed.

We would already be playing Alabama, @Georgia, Florida, Kentucky and @Vanderbilt anyway ... so we're just adding @Oklahoma, @Arkansas and Mississippi State.

That's hardly unfair ... especially since Oklahoma is kind of in a state of flux. The jury is still out on Venables.

Welcome to the NEW SEC.
If your team can't handle it,...

That’s the schedule. 5 games we should win, 2 we can win (Oklahoma, Bama)1 will be very hard to win (UGA)
We beat Alabama one time in 15 years and all of a sudden you put them in the can win with Oklahoma. Stop being delusional Alabama has the best talent in the country and will for the next several years.

A lot of that talent has either gone to the NFL early or entered the transfer portal. They have two players on the preseason first team All SEC defense and none on offense.

I think Tennessee got a pretty decent schedule.

Exactly. It’s the SEC. We’re gonna have to play tough teams. Alabama and others got a tougher draw, we can’t complain. Florida isn’t good, so we should be working on a 3 year win streak in them. Hell, that might be Napier’s last season. Arkansas is meh and Venables hasn’t shown anything at OU yet. We get Vandy. And Miss St. Those could be the worst team in each division (if there were still divisions).

Bama and Georgia are the two tough ones. The rest we should handle.

I went to Norman last time. I'm stoked we are going back for payback. Last time we got smoked with Botch in charge, but that was never going to be a win in 2014. We had it in the bag and blew it in 15. I had to eat a lot of crow on the way home from my OU loving buddy that day.

They have 94% 4 and 5 stars on the roster even after that. That's the most in the country by almost 20%. No team can win ever year regardless of talent

Although Bama leads the series we did beat them 9 in a row in the 90's and it cycles back & forth but Bama has always been able to cheat better than most any team nationwide without being caught, sans the year of the Memphis fiasco.
The NIL has kind of re-set that until the Gump's figure out how to jail up some of those 5 star bench warmers they kept as backups/depth that now portal with no redshirt sit out year.

You don’t know that. 2024 is a one year deal. 2025 starts from scratch.
Agreed just a gut reaction.

The only reason I could see to put it in Knoxville is to force Manning to choose his color allegiance….Nephew Burnt Orange vs Tennessee Orange. it would be the story line as whether Peyton could pull against Tennessee in Knoxville.

I will repeat to what I just told someone else. After all the transfers and players going to the NFL Alabama has 94% 4 and 5 star players on the roster. Good luck beating that year in and year out

Probably had similar type of numbers last year yet without Young at qb their game against UT could have been lopsided. Bama is unsettled currently at qb and don’t have the #1 pick in the draft on their roster. They could have 3+ losses this season if they don’t get quality qb play. Wouldn’t it be glorious for them to start off the year struggling and then completely come off the rails. Saban’s head might actually explode on national tv!

Don't hold your breath they will bounce back. I hope they don't but it's hard not to with that much talent. It took us to have a wr go crazy and the ball bounce our way to win. Don't pretend that all of a sudden we are better than or equal to them
