Not a fan of her, either, but again, this is about beating Trump. 42 out of the 43% of people who would vote for Biden now, despite what has occurred, are locked in for anyone but Trump. Harris (or Whitmer, or whoever) would START with that floor. All they need is to pick up 3 percentage points or so in battleground states, and Trump is thwarted.

As much as I personally do not like Harris, I think she could pretty easily manage to pick that up, as could Whitmer, simply by voicing concerns for women. Dobbs, ironically, might well sink Trump in '24.

1- Roll them out in front of the nation, at a debate, to show they are unstable.
2- Finally discuss the instability as if it's this new thing. This will help to make the change easier for people to swallow.
3- Hold press conference to show, yet again, how disconnected they are.
4- Do what's "right" for the good of the party and constituents and remove and replace. In the name of saving democracy, of course.

Tens of millions have been saying since 2016 that they would vote for a rock over trump.
