You are conflating two different things. First, I agree that Biden cannot be President for four more years. Whether he can do it for the next 7 months is fairly debatable, but not the topic at the moment.

But second, even if Biden won and could not finish out the term, that's infinitely better than having Trump be elected.

You are correct that the fact that its now apparent for all to see that he's likely to lose to Trump is the reason I'd like him to step aside. But that's a perfectly legitimate reason to want to see him discontinue the campaign, in and of itself. And since to me keeping Trump out is 99 % of the reason I voted for Biden the first time, and would be 99% of my reason to vote for him this time, I'm not dishonest in saying Biden should step aside in order to create a better chance to defeat Trumplestilskin.

No, you claimed that you couldn't allow a pathological liar in the white house. If you didn't know Joe was unfit until they told you be outraged, 1. you either are person that isn't mentality fit yourself 2. you're a dishonest person.

You didn't claim any of this stuff until they told you.

I don't think that's entirely correct, i.e. that no one is discussing that. But, understandably, they are preoccupied with making a decision about the next four years and how to get Biden to bow out. They'd prefer it be on his own terms, for many obvious reasons. But there is certainly a path whereby the party, itself, can make things so impossible he doesn't have much of a choice.

Sadly, part of me hopes that the press conference today goes so poorly even Biden has to acknowledge after the fact exactly where things stand.

The discussion should not be about the next four years, the discussion should be about how President Harris manages the next few months after Biden resigns because he is incapable of continuing to do the job he was elected to do.

If Biden is unfit to run for re-election, who in the hell is running the country right now?

And there are those who want me worried about trump? I don’t even know who is “acting” president now! Not that there are many things needing American leadership at the moment.

Yea I agree, but these things take time, but it threatens our leadership and needs to happen fast. They must spare feelings for Biden. Either he is or he isnt.
